The Madness Of King Donald

Let me get this off of the table right off of the bat. NO! Donald Trump is neither clinically nor legally insane. Trump is fully capable of knowing and understanding the difference between right and wrong. And we have empirical proof of this because, for more than 50 years now, every time Traitor Tot pulls a scam, he immediately turns around and tries to take steps to cover it up.

But what Donald Trump is is delusional. And in the not too distant future, it’s going to land him in an orange, non Pierre Cardin jumpsuit. No shit. I’m deadly serious here. Because while Trump knows the difference between right and wrong, he simply refuses to acknowledge that difference. And willful ignorance isn’t a defense under the laW.

This is nothing new, it’s been manifesting itself for years. Even Trump’s own lawyers told him that his extortion attempt phone call to Ukraine’s new President Zelensky was an unforced fuck up. Even he should have known that other people were listening in on the call, and would take action. And yet all the way through the House impeachment hearings, and the trial in the Senate, Trump continued to insist that it was a perfect phone call. Of course it was, after all, Trump was President. He said exactly what he wanted to say, made his point crystal clear, and nobody was going to hold him responsible for it. And nobody did.

In November of 2020, Trump lost the popular vote by some 7 million votes, and lost the electoral college by the exact landslide margin he beat Hillary by in 2016. His immediate Trumpertantrum response was that the election was stolen from him by massive voter fraud! His own White House lawyers told him there was no voter fraud. So did his closest advisors, his own damn family, and his own campaign data weenie, told him that there was no widespread voter fraud. The end result? A failed insurrection, congressional hearings, and 21 months later, His Lowness is still fundraising off of the Big Lie. And was never held responsible. Why would Trump change?

But here’s the McGuffin. Trump isn’t the President anymore, he no longer has that mithral chainmail shirt of invulnerability. And there are plenty of people out there right now that are gunning for him, and holding him accountable isn’t an issue, it’s a goal. But Trump is still locked into the delusion that nobody can touch him.

Two examples should suffice. Trump’s infamous phone call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger was a mea culpa of direct election interference. But once again, The Trumpster Fire continues to insist that it was a perfect call. Really? What about Leningrad Lindsey Graham’s calls to Georgia SoS Raffensperger, requesting him to throw out African American mail in votes on a bogus signature mismatch ploy? An why did Mark Meadows, then still the Trump Chief of Staff fly to Fulton County to pester election workers during a recount? Fulton County District Attorney is building a nice, tight legal box around Trump, and when she has it perfect, she’s going to slam the lid.

Nor for the coup de grace. Trump is almost feral with fury over the raid on his Mar-A-Lago schlock palace that removed another dozen boxes of classified material. The Washington Post is reporting that Trump is literally screaming at his Florida lawyers to go into court and Get his documents back!

News Flash, Dipshit! Not a single one of those documents was ever yours in the first place. Even when you were the President, those documents were the property of the People of the United States of America. And the day you left office, those documents became the sole property of the people of the United States. The simple fact that you took them with you when you left puts you in violation of the Presidential Records Act, as well as The Espionage Act. And when you had your lawyers lie about their presence, and tried to hide them, you committed the crime of Obstruction of Justice.

But because it’s Trump, of course it gets worse. The Manhattan District Attorney is preparing to go to trial in mid October with criminal charges against the Trump Organization, and if he packages it right, he can end up with a RICO charge that literally bankrupts Trump. And in the wings is New York Attorney General Letitia James, with a potential civil suit against the Trump organization that could suck up the rest of the scraps.

And Trump is incapable of assisting in his own defense! because Trump is totally caught up in his delusional world. The DOJ’s case against him is a total political witch hunt! His phone calls to Raffensperger were perfect phone calls!, and besides, there was Massive voter fraud in Georgia! NY AG Letitia James is on a Purely partisan witch hunt to bring him down, after all, she ran on that! And the Manhattan DA Offices’ charges are politically motivated, because they’re all jealous of his success!

You tell me. How do you represent a client who refuses to acknowledge reality? I am not a rich man, but I’ll tell you this. You couldn’t pay me enough money to be a criminal defense attorney for Donald Trump. Even if he actually paid his bills. Don’t touch that dial.
