As you have undoubtedly heard, George Santos is crowing about how “Donald Trump is the greatest president, ever,” because no other president would have been corrupt enough to pardon him other than Trump. So what is our definition of “great” these days? Evidently convicted felons pardoning convicted felons is a great thing because that’s what the Trump/Santos pardon literally is. And look who is here to twist it into something else, none other than Ed Martin, hailed by many as the most incompetent attorneys ever to hold the position he held in Trump’s administration, when he was interim U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia briefly.

George Santos was guilty as hell. There wasn’t much of a defense. Yet, we are to believe him a “victim” and celebrate the fact that he’s back out on the streets. It will be interesting to see what Santos does next. He did promise us a swinging comeback, if you recall.
Well, darlings…
The curtain falls, the spotlight dims, and the rhinestones are packed. From the halls of Congress to the chaos of cable news what a ride it’s been! Was it messy? Always. Glamorous? Occasionally. Honest? I tried… most days.
To my supporters: You made this wild… pic.twitter.com/BKhoMJnTtm

Rest of tweet: You made this wild political cabaret worth it. To my critics: Thanks for the free press. I may be leaving the stage (for now), but trust me legends never truly exit. Forever fabulously yours, George
“Wild political cabaret.” No, you made it that, George, with your endless lies. And now what is very intriguing is that the House members who voted to expel dear Georgie Porgie are silent as the tomb about his pardon. Not one peep. You can hear the pin drop.
And there’s a larger question here in the silence: What good are laws if you can break them and not be held accountable? What does that do to the legal and moral structure of a society?

if i’m not mistaken trump commuted his sentence but did’t pardon him. in other words time served but the conviction stands. in many cases, arpaio for example, even a pardon is deemed to only affect the sentence and not the conviction.
What Law?? That ended when the country proved just what and who we serve.
