Steve Schmidt Sticks Pin In the Bubble That Trump Is Playing 10-Dimensional Psychological Chess With Putin To Troll Media

Even in the fantasy never never truth land of right-wing media, where Fox News reigns supreme, apparently some small adjustment to reality needs to take place from time to time. Donald Trump did an interview on right-wing media today wherein he said that Vladimir Putin was “savvy” a “genius” and should “send some troops to our southern border.”

Now you know and I know and Fox News knows that Trump was on the level, But they can’t say that, so they’re spinning it that this is Trump the intellectual giant, whom the strongman dictator greatly admires, fears even, and he’s just “trolling” the media, mocking them for his sport, as it were. Uh huh.

This is spot on. This is exactly why Trump was compared so often to Chance the Gardener in Being There, because Chance, too, was in Washington, D.C. and they believed him to be somebody of substance. In all truth, and I mean this, the story of Chance, as ludicrous and satirical as it was, was only about 5% more unbelievable than the story of Donald Trump. If that much.

But this is the new press kit that’s being distributed in right-wing world now, that Putin was in awe of Trump. The only way Putin was ever in awe is because Trump is a rare species of idiot. P.T. Barnum would be in awe of Trump, were he alive. There are suckers, there are useful idiots and then there is Trump.
