This one is a doozy. On top of everything flying around about her, including being really rude to a cameraman who finally got close enough to her, there’s something else that has come out today that’s unnerving. It’s just as bad as Hegseth’s wife, if not more so. Here she is, working very closely with the president, and somehow she didn’t have something that should have been completed before she took the job. With some help from Raw Story:
New information about President Donald Trump’s close aide Natalie Harp raised eyebrows among critics online Wednesday. In a bombshell report, MS NOW reported that Harp worked at the White House for an entire year without security clearance. Sources said “Harp’s reasoning for failing to complete the process was unknown,” MS NOW White House correspondent Jake Traylor wrote on X. “After concerns mounted among the White House counsel’s office and security officials, the president himself intervened, and Harp in recent months filled out the forms to launch a formal federal background investigation and received the clearance, one of the people said.”
Alrighty then. No security clearance. Yet she’s grafted to Trump. How did this happen? How? This is almost worse than Jennifer Hegseth. She works directly with *Trump*. That’s critical. Outside of the obvious snarky comments, she should have had this more than a year ago. It’s just mind-boggling. Why didn’t the Secret Service push for this, if no one else? How was she able to work without one for so long? So many questions that don’t have answers. A lot of employers these days have background checks run. But Natalie didn’t.
President Donald Trump’s closest aide, Natalie Harp, declined multiple times over more than a year to seek a routine security clearance normally obtained by West Wing staffers to work at the White House, according to two people familiar with the matter.
Now we know why. She didn’t want to bother. She didn‘t go through the process. She can’t decline to get a security clearance when she is working next to Trump in almost everything. She shouldn’t have been working with Trump in the White House without it. That’s sloppy. No one pushed. It took Trump to get her to finally do so.
Even though we are not in the Secret Service, or we do not work in the White House, it seems obvious that a security clearance of some level is a must. How on earth could she fail to see that? She thought that since Trump wanted her as his assistant, she didn’t need one? This is wrong in a number of ways. It’s irksome. But she has one now, as much of a mistake as we think it might be. For those around Trump, she should be watched. Just in case.

I don’t think it matters much to 47. His first term, Jared Kushner and others had serious issues that didn’t allow for them have clearances. 47 just overrode them and ordered for them have clearance. He can always do that again.
It seems 47 did exactly that. Bah.
He would give Vladimir and Kim Jong Un clearances if he felt like it, and then he would invite them to sit in on security briefings in the Pentagon.
Yes indeed!
Things that make you go hmmm!
The more that comes out about Natalie, the more disturbing it gets. Yikes!
