It is a never ended source of wonder how the days until the election keep ticking down and does the GOP candidate feel like he needs to get on top of his slipping polls? Not in the slightest. He’s too busy worrying about his one obsession, crowd size. I wonder if the mental health community will come up with a new “oia” as in “paronoia” but one pertaining to crowd size. Maybe “sizoia.” A sufferer from crowdsizoia would be someone who believes that the entire world is queued up outside his door and dying to come in and hear him speak, because he is the center of the universe. The population of Prairie du Chien is 5,506. So assuredly if there were ten times as many people in line outside, then they didn’t come from that city. One can only assume that they got there the same way the multitudinous hordes that Trump claims is invading the country got here, which is the Democrats flying illegals into swing states.
It’s perfectly batshit, but this is what Trump worries about. The only sense that it makes to me is that he seriously needs the smell of the greasepaint and the roar of the crowd to feel alive. If he’s not getting the dopamine high he needs from the rallies, then why bother doing them?
And indeed, why bother? He does not present any new material. And by the way, Trump’s events calendar changes every day. Evidently Team Trump is just winging it. Yesterday he had two events on calendar, both in Wisconsin, and I thought that a bit of overkill, since J.D. Vance will be in the spotlight on Tuesday.
Maybe Team Trump thought the same because now there is only one speech in Wisconsin and then Trump does nothing Wednesday and Thursday and then he’s in North Carolina on Friday. I find it exceedingly odd that this close to the election Trump would be dark for two days in a row, or even one, but this election is not like any other.
Trump believes the fix is in, Ursula. He believes his MAGAts in Congress and in state houses and at polling places will steal the election for him, no matter what the actual vote count may be. He believes that Americans are stupid enough to let him and them get away with it. So why bother trying to even look like campaigning? Better to bask in the adoration of the dedicated cultists, the few who stick around to the end of his rally rants, instead of risking further humiliation out in the real world. Let JD do that.

He believes the fix is in because the R’s are doing everything they possibly can to swing the election to him. They’ve purged tens of thousands of voters, put election officials in place that will have the power to toss a ballot for arbitrary reasons, decreased polling sites, and then there’s the electoral college. Our presidency is determined by a few red states with less population than CA, NY or Tx.
We can’t be complacent. The ONLY way we’re going to take this is by voting in greater numbers than ever before.

When you have as many firearms out in public hands with all the accoutrements, you no longer have any reasonable right to believe anyone is safe at any time. Intelligent discourse can only occur between intelligent individuals. con xtians are not in any way, shape or form intelligent. Fair elections and peaceful transfers of power can only occur when the folks doing the choosing believe in such things.
