Single Women Can’t Vote Correctly?

You have GOT to be kidding me. Where did this woman get her information? And why does she think *every* woman needs help to vote? I voted just fine on my own, and I’ll bet every single woman has done the same. Yes, I’m quite happily married *now*, but I wasn’t always. My husband and I research candidates, but how we vote is our own business. Each individual makes their own choices, and gender doesn’t have a damn thing to do with it. You can’t make this up. Rant incoming: Raw Story:

Evita Duffy, the daughter of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, argued that unmarried women “vote very, very poorly” without “the security of a male.” During a Wednesday interview on Real America’s Voice, Evita Duffy reacted to polling that showed President Donald Trump had dropped 20 points among men since the 2024 election. The Cabinet member’s daughter chose to reframe the problem of one of married vs. unmarried voters.

What a bunch of hooey. Where does she get her information? I’d like to know. I’d like some proof. Marriage has nothing to do with voting. Yes, I’m repeating myself, but you chose to vote the way you feel is best. Maybe she wants to have ICE patrolling voter lines so they can look for unmarried women and tell them what to do. Seems like something else that’s right up their alley.

“For an unmarried woman, what are you looking for in your life most of all? What is missing? It’s the security of a male,” she insisted. “And so young women and unmarried women especially are saying, looking at the Democratic Party, which is entirely based off of offering free things and social programs, and they say, that’s my party. That’s what I want to go towards. That’s what I gravitate to. And so they vote very, very poorly.”

I think I’m insulted. No, I *know* I’m insulted. What is this with “your life, that it isn’t good and happy without a male”? Good grief. This is how she was brought up? Sounds like brainwashing to me. Democrats aren’t all about free things. They care about the country and not just their paychecks. Right now, Republicans are supporting Wannabe Dictator Donnie. They’re afraid to push back. They’re worried about midterms. And well they should be.

Democrats aren’t perfect, either. We have our own share of troubles. But right now it seems we are the ones worried about the economy, inflation, tariffs, and the Iran war. Whoo, I don’t need to get started on that. Both parties have their challenges. Both parties *should* want to do their best for the people of America. If only. And I went way past that turn at Albuquerque. Back to, grrr, this woman!

As for men, Evita Duffy blamed the Trump administration for starting a war in Iran. “There’s a narrative that there’s going to be a 20-year forever war,” she said. “And there’s also a narrative that President Trump is going to bring back the draft.” “And so that is deeply troubling if you’re a 22-year-old, 23-year-old man getting ready to go to the polls. Oh, if I vote for a Republican, I’m voting to go to war overseas. And the White House hasn’t done enough to actually correct the record on that and dispel those fears.”

Y’know, Evita is not exactly an auspicious name *snerk*. So, there she went, completely away from women needing men to vote, to young men who won’t vote Republican. Make up your mind, honey, stay on topic. No one needs anyone to vote. Men don’t need women to tell them how to vote, and vice versa. I’m still insulted. I’ll vote how I please, and there is not a damn thing that can change my mind. She can bite me. But I bite back.
