Disneyland may be the Happiest Place On Earth normally, but today the law offices of the Dominion Voting Systems lawyers is going Disneyland one better. Nothing like having a defendant who has already made wild and unproven claims show up on TV making still more. Powell was back on right-wing media making fantastic allegations about Dominion Voting Systems and what they can do — which if true, would be the most extraordinary story right now not only in the world of politics but of computer science and patent law as well. And if that wasn’t enough, then she doubled down on her Illuminati-esque theories about members of the government and the Department of Defense predetermining the outcome of various elections, in the case of 2020, the presidential contest.

She is mesmerizing. She spews this out as though she were reading a statute, in an offhand fashion and she seems unaware of the import of what she’s saying. And Stew Peters just sits there and stares intently into space, apparently in shock at what he’s hearing. We understand the shock part. What we don’t get is how Powell believes that she can continue to manufacture this level of hooey and still have it go over.

This is a situation with an expiration date. When the lawsuit gets to the discovery process Dominion will rip all this to shreds.

Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see what the “patents” look like. That should be good.

On the other side of the fence is this clip of Rachel Maddow. If you missed this, Maddow comments on testimony Rudy Giuliani gave where he basically said that the Big Lie was just made up and he didn’t have the time to fact check something he read on Facebook, so he repeated it as truth.

It’s a long piece 9:55, but worth taking the time. The big takeaway here is one that you know all too well: the Republican party is enabling all this. If at any point in time somebody in the GOP had said, “C’mon Rudy, don’t do this,” it very likely might have stopped. But that didn’t happen. And so we are where we are.

    • Not only Trump but Dubya as well. And how interesting that the Bush Department of Defense had this patent but decided to let Obama in for two terms. What is the woman smoking?

      • My thoughts exactly … WTF is wrong with this person? I use the, “person”, term with candor …

        She speaks like a robot, dead pan expressions, hard to read her actual core … is she on something or is she really this stupid?

        If she was a true legal eagle, it seems she would read through her notes and understand the peril of her words for her self-survival — complete hard to imagine or put into ANY perspective … if you are going to tell a story, it needs the basic parts, a start, middle and end … this also means there has to be some normalcy in the words that places the listeners in the same room with the story … she is totally bonkers in this effort to, WHAT?

        All she is doing shows she has no clue of reality and the Dominion clan is dancing around the mulberry bush … guess what Sidney … some of the most researched and public records are held in the patent data base, and something tells me you have no idea how to even get or use that data !!
