I’ll make this short because we will have to wait until late Saturday afternoon to know. However the weather forecast for DC is for thunderstorms starting in early evening. Right when Trumpty’s Bigly Birthday Parade tanks, APCs, artillery, big green trucks etc. And formations of troops too. I’m sure the same order about “no fat guys” applies to those picked to march. And definitely no troops who’ve given up limbs on the battlefield. Trump made his disgust for THOSE people known long ago. However thunderstorms literally raining on the parade will ruin the whole thing.
It’s not like the equipment and troops can’t still roll down Pennsylvania Ave between the WH and the National Mall where music and fireworks are scheduled after the parade. However thunder and lightning and driving rain will mean few people looking on. And that means what was going to be a “grand” TV show will be a flop. But if there is a God, and/or Karma is paying attention and is in a Puckish mood it might indeed literally RAIN ON TRUMP’S PARADE. At least that’s what this article I saw a little while ago from Daily Mail tells us.
The Weather Channel’s current forecast for Saturday in Washington calls for cloudy skies in the morning with thunderstorms developing later in the day.
Instead of doing a traditional daytime parade, organizers decided to have it kick off down Constitution Ave. at 6:30 p.m.
The Daily Mail also tells us that despite WH insistence the show will go on, if lightening is part of the impending storms the event will be cancelled. Or “postponed.” Since Trumpty will be not at Mar A Lago or Bedminster but instead at the WH PAINTING HIS FACE ORANGE I do hope the worker bees have the walls and all the priceless artifacts covered in plastic. Because the ketchup bottles will be flying if Trump’s parade is cancelled!
Lest we forget the EXCUSE for this monstrosity of an extravaganza is that Saturday the 250th Anniversary of the Army’s founding. That truly is something work marking and lots of ceremonies and military pageants/parades will take place at bases/posts around the country. As will be the case for the Navy and Marine Corps later this year. They of course won’t be getting any parade by Trump because HIS birthday is also June 14, same as the Army’s. Trump and the GOP can lie all they want about this being to honor the Army but everyone including all but the hardest core Trumpy’s/MAGAs damn well know this military parade is ALL about Trump.
He whined and whined about not having one of these things back during his first term. Back then there were enough proverbial adults around him to head it off. This time no one who isn’t completely loyal to him and only him is in the room. NONE of them are going to suggest the optics might not be as great as he thinks they will be, or point out the cost much less say “No – we shouldn’t do that.” Only outside intervention can stop this. Like Mother Nature literally raining down buckets of rain with a healthy dose of thunder and lightning.
It looks like she’s thinking about doing just that! Dare we hope that Mother Nature, fate, Karma or the Almighty if there is a God ruin Trumpty’s big day? If you believe in God literally pray for rain. Coming down like buckets with lightning strikes here and there. If like me you have doubts about there being a god then wish like hell for Karma to give Trump a healthy dose of comeuppance up his fat ass. We will have to wait and see but at least there’s hope Trump will have another bad day!

As I live in a DC suburb, I can tell you about our recent weather, and indeed, much thanks this time around will go to climate change. The DVM area (District/Virginia/Maryland) is humid and with very hot summers, which now have worsened noticeably. The resultant storms have also worsened. They come out of nowhere, very little warning, the rain so hard cars pull over to wait the storms out, and with winds so ferocious that thousands of trees or big limbs come down–on houses, cars, roads and sadly, people. This very likely will be the kind of storm that will hit here late Saturday as the humidity has been relentless. And if there is karma, Trump’s “big, beautiful” parade will be very, very ugly and scary and meanwhile, all the peaceful protests scheduled throughout the DMV will be done and dusted and we will be safe at home. Bada bing.
Since no planes slid off of ships during my service, and we’ve already lost two fighter jets at 60 million a pop, it wouldn’t be a shocker should some idiot accidentally fire a weapon, or a tank veer into the crowd. Trump has already warned he will tolerate no protests. Hey you fat diva…as a nazi traitor to our democracy, go take a flying phuck at a rolling doughnut. Maybe the heat will take his ass out in front of the world. One can dream can’t one?
