One thing you can say about Sockeye Sarah, she is never at a loss for words, though most of the time they don’t fit together too well.

Here she states that rank choice voting in Alaska, which was approved by Voter Initiative in 2020, is a creation of “the establishment”, caused her loss to Democrat Mary Peltola and that her other Republican opponent Nick Begich, who has as much right as the half-whacked-Governor to stay in the race, should drop out to clear the field for her. Fat chance grizzly-breath, that’s not going to happen, and even if it did you might not like the results any better, because in a state that is overwhelmingly Republican, Democrat Peltola outpolled them both.

Still Sarah blames everyone but herself for the loss and thinks the entire nation should be as pissed as she is…

  3. I’m quite delighted to disappoint Palin by being the OPPOSITE of pissed about her losing! Instead of a coronation she crashed and burned. Now Petulant Palin is demanding Begich drop out to give her a better shot in November. It seems he’s told her to go pound sand, or since this is Alaska pound her head on a glacier. She was a fuckup as Mayor of Wasilla, a fuckup as Gov. (and quit halfway through cause she saw megabucks forever via punditry) and since then probably would have made a halfway decent living by hosting “Reality Trailer Park Life in Alaska.” Not the fabulous living she envisioned but like Jerry Springer people would tune in every week for the shitshow action between “guests.”

    I SO hope Begich sticks to his principles and refuses to step aside. He’s young enough to wait two years to try and take on Peltola one on one. And Palin will be gone from Alaska by then.

    • A couple of interesting side notes related to Palin:

      1) As I understand it, Begich is the late Don Young’s son-in-law and their family has hated the Palins for quite a while. Probably thought they’d seen the last of her when she went to Arizona, so this must REALLY piss Begich off.

      2) The person who gave her own reality show, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” on TLC, was David Zaslav, head of Discovery and recent acquirer of Warner Brothers. That includes CNN and since he’s a hardcore Trumper, that’s why the quality took a sudden nosedive.

    • Might want to recheck your math. 15 years ago, nobody outside of Alaska had ever heard of her*. She didn’t get her “15 minutes of fame” until the summer of 2008 when McCain’s people inflicted the Tundra Twit on the country as a whole.

      *Obviously uber-diehard political junkies and trivia fans who kept up with all the governors of the states had heard of her but that’s such a small subset of the American population, their number might have been less than 1% of the population of Alaska.
