What you’re about to read is going to get debunked and called “a joke” by Donald Trump and his minions, because that’s how they roll. No matter how awful something is, oh, that: well that was meant as a joke. The fact that seems to elude all of them is that there are some things that it is tasteless to joke about and I can’t think of a better example than than the assassination of a vice president by a lynch mob roiling down the street to the Capitol. Washington Post:
The account of Meadows’s comment characterizing Trump’s reaction to his vice president was provided to the committee by at least one witness, according to people familiar with the investigation — but those people did not describe the tone with which the comment was made. They spoke on the condition of anonymity to be more candid about a sensitive topic. […]
The Washington Post previously reported that Trump vented to those around him about Pence as he watched on television as rioters besieged the Capitol. At 2:24 p.m., the same moment the vice president and his family were endangered by the pro-Trump mob and forced to flee the Senate chamber, Trump tweeted that Pence lacked “courage”:
Once again I remind you that Pence was too paranoid to get into the limousine and drive away with the Secret Service when he was rushed from the Senate chamber for his own protection. His words to his aide were, “I trust you, Tim, but I don’t know who’s driving that car.” Pence feared kidnapping and possibly he feared assassination. And considering the level of mongrel mutt that Donald Trump is, and those around him, I don’t personally believe that Pence was being paranoid. I think he had a realistic grasp of the situation he was in.
Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to Meadows, was asked by the committee about the account and confirmed it, according to two people familiar with the investigation. Hutchinson sat for multiple interviews with the committee and provided detailed information about the lead-up to and happenings on Jan. 6, 2021, according to these people and testimony released in court filings by the committee.
People familiar with the committee’s work said they view Hutchinson, a longtime Meadows aide, as a key witness.
Two key points I will remind you of: 1) The closer we get to Trump’s inner circle the more dirt we’re going to dig up; 2) Mark Meadows is not going to go to prison for Donald Trump. That has been my mantra for a few months now. You have heard it before. You will hear it again.
My instinct is that Meadows is the linch pin. His testimony, or the lack thereof, will make a major difference. That’s why he has stonewalled the J6 Committee. But delay is one thing, escaping responsibility for one’s actions is another. The sand in the hour glass is running out for Meadows.
Meadows was chief of staff for the former guy. He was, in effect, running the joint for him. He knows more than he wants to tell, I’m sure.
That much is obvious. And now you have new evidence that he was burning documents in his fireplace in his office. I see a grim future for him. I do believe we will see whether he will flip on trump. Especially with this Ginni Thomas deal. I find it disgusting that the rot goes so deep and far on all this. I’m sure we will get a overload of information soon. We will see!
Well, I don’t know if it’s true but Trump didn’t know where Pence was and their was a report of they got him and Trump made some sort of comment saying the crowd got him and supposedly they were preparing a statement to put out on it. And you are right. Pence wouldn’t leave. They hunkered down on a dock at the back of the capital. I would say there will be more on this soon. Pence is finally seeing that trump doesn’t have his best interests at heart.
