Wow, have the Republicans done it to themselves again. And they were promptly taken to task for it. A promise means nothing if you don’t follow through. The follow-through had nothing new, and that makes them look pitiful. Nice try, folks. You lose. From Raw Story:
The Republican-led House Oversight Committee was promptly ridiculed Tuesday night into Wednesday morning for its release of 33,000 files on Jeffrey Epstein; the vast majority of which, critics have noted, were either redacted or already public. “Literally 97% of the ‘Epstein files’ just released by the House Oversight Committee were already public,” wrote Evan Kilgore, formally an ambassador for the far-right nationalist group Turning Point USA, in a social media post on X Tuesday to his more than 130,000 followers. “We got played again.”
Uh-oh. Not a good look. The backlash is going to be unreal. And if Trump finds out about this slapback? Better duck and cover because the explosion could be nuclear. Now this doesn’t exactly come back on him, but it *does* come back on “his” people, which could be another explosion. Or Trump could ignore it. That would be a first, and those odds would be ridiculous. I don’t see that happening. Let’s hear from more people.
The Trump administration has faced growing scrutiny in recent months over the handling of its investigation into Epstein, the disgraced financier who died in 2019 awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges, and is alleged to have run a blackmail operation targeting powerful individuals. Amid growing pressure, the House Oversight Committee released a trove of Epstein files Tuesday evening, but its release has only prompted increased scrutiny. “Oh my god, Republicans just fake released the Epstein files again,” wrote Kyle Kulinski, host of the Kyle Kulinski Show, in a social media post on X to his more than 500,000 followers.
WHAM. See that hammer start to fall. They should know better than to release files that are out there. Everyone, but EVERYONE, already knows what’s in those. And if they think they can fake the “this is all there is” line, that ain’t gonna happen. It just won’t work. No one will give up until the actual remaining papers are released, including MAGA. You know, when MAGA gets on board, they aren’t going to stop. They just aren’t. And there are just as many non-MAGA people who aren’t going to stop, either.
Democratic lawmakers joined in on the pile-on as well, with Rep. Robert Garcia, the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, labeling the file drop as a dud, and urging Americans not to consider the matter settled. “The 33,000 pages of Epstein documents [House Oversight Chair and Republican Rep.] James Comer has decided to ‘release’ were already mostly public information,” Garcia said, speaking with the Washington Post in a report published Wednesday. “To the American people – don’t let this fool you. After careful review, Oversight Democrats have found that 97% of the documents received from the Department of Justice were already public. There is no mention of any client list or anything that improves transparency or justice for victims.”
There it is, Lies, lies, and more lies. We are tired of the lies, and we *know* they are lies. We want the TRUTH. And some of us want justice for the survivors! They damn well deserve it. These women came out and said IN PUBLIC that they were ABUSED. Why aren’t the people who have these files seeing the jeopardy they’re in? The pressure is just going to grow until they are forced into the decision to release the rest of the documents. ALL of us have waited long enough. Release the damn files.
Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. Most people are realizing now that expecting the republicans to release anything other than ‘lies,lies,lies’ is futile.
It’s all they know to do. Any truth has long been a stranger to them.

So when a valid non-fake bit of news or other media informative hits the pavement ‘he’ and or his controlled GOP/MAGA swill and other coat-tail hangers-on all megaphone ‘fake’ as a chorus to deflect, sidestep and mislead. By contrast, and completely hypocritical of ‘him’ along with his stacked GOP committee, do a shifty release of ‘fake Epstein files’. They can’t have their cake and eat it. The reality of truth will slowly and inexorably boa constrict their dishonesty and lack of integrity. The clear headed have no trouble recognising this connivance; the lying; the slyness. Their charade can’t be sustained. It has to come to a point where it will implode. Hope!
