Oh, mercy. *This* was a surprise.  He’s one of the last people I’d expect to do something because of his background. Conspiracy theories, anyone? I’ve never really paid any attention to him as he was more or less worthless, at least from what I remember. And now he lays the hammer *down* on a certain VP. Yikes! From Raw Story:

Observers were shocked this weekend after Rand Paul, a Republican senator, delivered a brutal takedown of Vice President JD Vance. Raw Story reported late Saturday that Paul took on Vance, who claimed he doesn’t “give a s—” when someone said Vance might have been inadvertently endorsing war crimes on social media. Paul replied to Vance’s statement in part by writing, “What a despicable and thoughtless sentiment it is to glorify killing someone without a trial.”

Oh, my, my, my. RAND PAUL, of all people. Apparently, he has shiny titanium balls that clank when he walks, which is wonderful when you look at the rest of Congress that don’t have those. He just wiped out Vance. Publicly. He did not even flinch. And there are other reactions.

The attack on his own Republican ex-colleague had the internet abuzz, with New York Times journalist Glenn Thrush replying on Sunday with, “Wow.” //// Republicans against Trump wrote, “Thank you for your moral clarity on this. JD Vance is a despicable and cynical politician.” //// PatriotTakes, which purports to track right-wing extremism, asked Paul, “How do we know there were not any human trafficking victims on that boat?” //// Former prosecutor Ron Filipkowski commented, “When even Rand Paul thinks you’re despicable.”

This caused quite the uproar. Of course, Republicans try to fly under the radar, but they’re going to have to do something soon. JD is as bad as his boss, and he seems to be enjoying it. It only takes one Xitter to show the world that he is as bad as Trump. Trump is more or less a known factor here.

That’s why other countries work around us. That’s why he ignores the state of the US, and does all sorts of crazy things, like bunker busters that didn’t do what he thought they would. He thinks about himself, first and foremost, and that’s what we all know. We’ve learned the hard way, on the January 6 insurrection, and then the people who chose Trump because their prejudices would accept a woman of color. Having fun yet, MAGA?

Veteran John Jackson chimed in, “Getting called out by Rand Paul is a helluva thing.” “He’s totally correct,” Jackson added. //// Former Republican declared, “Rand Paul is right.” “The Trump administration must be held accountable for murder,” they added. //// Devin Duke said, “I don’t usually agree with Rand Paul, but he takes JD Vance to school here.” “JD has become a rabid power-lusting maniac since becoming VP,” Duke then added. //// Conservative attorney and anti-Trump activist George Conway said, “You are absolutely correct, Senator. Thank you for speaking with such moral clarity here.”

Well, this has improved my day immensely. Rand Paul slices JD Vance with one tweet, and then there are the reactions, which are great! Rand said the quiet part out loud, and other countries are rubbing their hands together with glee. Hopefully, this includes Ukraine. After the debacle of a visit earlier this year, when Zelenskyy came over here and got blindsided by Vance. *They* deserve to celebrate a bit, even with the Russians bombing the hell out of them. JD Vance got raked over the coals. Couldn’t happen to a nicer (*cough*) person.

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thanks. Ursula

Didn’t you mean, “…their prejudices *wouldn’t* accept a woman of color.”?
