QAnon Predicts Military Is Plotting A Coup To Remove Joe Biden Because His Plane Doesn’t Have Air Force One Call Sign

Lin Wood may be temporarily off stage but there are plenty of other QAnoners who are carrying the torch. One of them, “the Praying Medic” explains how the military is really running the country now — and we already know from Wood that Trump is running the military — and they’ve got a coup d’etat all worked up and ready to execute. Maybe they’re just desperate to hit the July 4 Trump inauguration deadline, which recently went into the toilet. That was such a great deadline, they’ll never come up with a better one, so we understand how they feel, wanting to save it.

“Biden has been flying on an aircraft which has not been flying under the call sign Air Force One.” That sounds ominous but it’s plain ignorant. Any airplane that the president is flying on is called Air Force One. There is a smaller plane, a C-32, which is used for shorter trips to locales which have a short runway and Biden has used that plane for trips to Delaware. He is not the first president to do so. Obama and Trump also used the C-32. But QAnon is twisting the fact into something sinister, which is their wont to do.

I would die laughing at this, except for the sobering statistic that haunts my dreams, which is that 74,223,369 people voted for Trump. Every time I tell myself I’m listening to a fringe lunatic, I run that figure down and ponder it. Half of the country is this batshit crazy, apparently.

Even Lindsey Graham compared Trump to P.T. Barnum. We should bear in mind that an ancient adage says people only care about bread and circus. That appears to be who we are in this day and age.

While you’re here and looking at batshit crazy, here is Michelle Bachmann, who first made the phrase applicable to national politics. None of us knew at the time that she was a prophet and innovator, and that soon the entire GOP would sound like her.

The sublime irony of this is that it is the GOP who wants more than anything to wash the January 6 insurrection down the memory hole and “move on” as they say. They can and should move on with a 1/6 Commission and perhaps they will — not likely at all, but perhaps. McConnell and McCarthy and the rest of them are doing everything that they can to whitewash and minimize the insurrection at the capitol, saying that the FBI will handle it and all is well. Then there’s this lunatic, Bachmann, making it into pure conspiracy theory.

There is a cultural divide in the country and it is squarely located at the intersection of information bias and fear. And right now politics in this country has stopped being politics and become performative art, populated with a cast of Qrazies.
