I suppose everything in life is subject to interpretation and I’m eager to hear what yours is, when you see this. Russian TV ran a montage of photos that is being interpreted as a coded message to Donald Trump about who’s the boss, him or Vladimir Putin. Let’s put it this way, somebody made this decision and if it wasn’t the big man in the Kremlin himself, then it was somebody lower in the party who had reasons of their own for this. So you take a look and decide. CAVEAT: the Charlie’s Angel tweet should display the video. Twitter is weird right now and Musk may be suppressing this. But you can hit this link and it will take you to a Dutch media outlet. Or, go to Newsweek and you can view it. This may be the new normal, Twitter not allowing the dissemination of information. You’re getting the idea what we’re up against with respect to the dissemination of information. This is an odd choice for Russian TV.

You have to admit. This is an odd choice of “congratulatory programming” if that’s in fact what this is meant to be. I don’t see this as a salutation. If this isn’t Putin saying, “Hey, comrade, don’t forget who’s who and what’s what and your ass is mine,” then I don’t know what it is.

Again, events are always subject to various interpretations. If somebody can explain to me how this is the Russian TV people showing respect and admiration for Trump, I am more than open to hearing that theory. I think Putin is doing the same thing here as he did to Tucker Carlson when Carlson came for an interview. Putin kept Carlson waiting for over two hours, showing not only disrespect, but blatant contempt. Putin does not see Carlson as anybody to respect.

And I think that the same sentiment is motivating this display on Russian TV. Putin is saying clearly who the top dog is and who the underdog is. And with a smile. If not a belly laugh. Putin sees both Donald and Melania for who they are. And he’s saying so here.

  2. Frankly I don’t want or need to see what RTV put up. I saw and heard with my own eyes that Trump was one of Putin’s submissives during that press conference in Helsinki. The words and body language all but said before they went out there Putin put on the leather gear and with Trump wearing nothing but a diaper and bent over a barrel worked him over!

    • That’s an image I could have done without but I’ll grant that the sentiment is right, vis a vis, who’s in charge and who’s on the receiving end. The trouble is, now we’re all on the receiving end.

        That congratulations made me spit coffee out my nose just from the description. I don’t particularly want to watch it because EW.

        I don’t know if there will be anything left to save at the end of the next 4 years.

    Well, Putin may be vile and despicable and needs to exit this mortal realm as soon as possible but he’s absolutely correct in his opinion of Tuck-tuck.
