Major Biden may be the First Dog, but he’s also the underdog. He’s just doing his job. There’s all these new people around and new situations and hey, folks, let’s get real: a nip is a nip. He’s giving a warning. If he wanted to bite, he could and would BITE! Being DOTUS is not an easy job.

If you haven’t heard, Major nipped somebody and did break the skin and so the person was cleared medically. And if that’s the worse thing that happens to a man or woman in their lives, praise God, they are truly blessed. But because it was Major Biden doing the nipping, everybody got a little crazy.

If you stop to think about it, we had a mangy mutt, imitation of a human being making decisions that affected millions and killed hundreds of thousands. And somebody is worried about an exuberant German shepherd dog? Glory be, how blessed we are if this is the level of our consternation and angst in this country. Hallelujah and praise the Lord.

I’m told the Bidens are going to get a kitty, COTUS. If s/he bites anybody, that’s all you need to know. I’m with the four-legged Americans, on this one and always. :))

  1. Major Biden is having a ruff time and it’s is going to the roof.

Anyway, if this is what makes the news, I can sleep at night (without worrying that the US might go over a cliff). These last 4 years, I began to dread opening the news.

    • Major is in a new situation, and it will take time for him to get to know the new people around him. People just need to back off and leave him alone. Dogs know who they like and don’t like. Have you ever met someone that you instantly disliked or distrusted? I have a few times in my life, and that instinct was always correct. Animals have instincts too, and they are correct more often than human instincts, because animals don’t listen to Faux Noise! Animals always have a reason for what they do, unlike humans. We may not understand that reason in some cases, but that is not their fault!

    • Major is a young puppy. Get him some training and he’ll be the best guy ever (sides Uncle Joe) to be in our home. As for a kitten? Go for it. The guys will love him/her as much as my hubby’s rusty loved my Crip. Missing them both.

  2. Cats are nice…..but not always safe……my cat is the meanest animal this side of Hell….when she wants to be……but she lets me live here too so I cut her some slack.

……also, can you imagine the uproar if “Kitty” decided that she was claiming the Resolute Desk or any item of antique furniture in the museum that is the White House as her personal scratching post???

  3. Major Biden is a dog. He’s fine. His person or people can handle him. Let dog be dog. He has more character than the former occupant, even if he occasionally lifts his leg in the Rose Garden. Hey, think we’ll get the rose bushes back?

  4. As someone who has spent a lot of time training big dogs, a nip is concerning. Yes, it is a warning, but it is quite an aggressive warning. Most dogs warn with a low growl and the curling of the lips to show the teeth. The nipping behavior can be extinguished with proper training. Sure, there may be valid reasons such as an unfamiliar situation and unfamiliar people, but it is not an excuse.
