Every week Trump’s polls get worse. So does that mean that he intends to remedy some of his policies? Hell, no. It means that the polls are fake. Here’s what Trump said a short while ago at the White House.
“They did a poll on the war with Iran. And they said only 32% of the people like it. Well, I don’t like it. I don’t like war at all. But we’re equipped with- We have the greatest military in the world. You saw what happened in Venezuela. You see what happens with everything. But they said 32% of the people are against President Trump, but when you explain it, is it OK for Iran to have a nuclear weapon? It wouldn’t be 32%. But even if you said that, it would still be at 32% because the polls are fake.”
And the polls get a lot worse. Over 60% of Americans polled object to the cost of living and everybody hates gas prices. And then there’s this.
Trump “jokes” about staying in office beyond two terms:

Always the same “joke.” He’s oblivious to how tasteless it is, plus he has no intention of leaving the White House if he can avoid it.

I question whether he would live that long. If there’s a huge democrat majority, he may be removed by other means.
Don’t want to rain on your parade but that won’t happen. There are 35 Senate races this year–the usual 33 plus 2 special elections to fill out Vance and Rubio’s terms–and the GOP has 22 of them and the Dems have 13. The current Senate composition is 53-R, 45-D, and 2-I. The 2 I’s generally caucus with the Dems so, currently, there are ostensibly 47 votes that would remove Drumpf through impeachment.
So, we not only have to hold ALL 13 of the Dem seats up but also win 20 of the GOP seats. (and, that’s assuming we can rely on Fetterman to vote “guilty” in the impeachment trial). And the latest polling suggests we are far short of that. Polling does seem to suggest 2 GOP seats will flip (ME, NC), but even managing to win all of the “lean R” contests, that only adds another 2 to 5 seats meaning, at best, we end up with 52 votes. And, considering the fact there weren’t enough GOP Senators with the cojones to remove Drumpf in 2021 (and permanently bar him from ever holding any Federal political office again), I doubt we can find 15 votes to remove him from office even after impeaching him.
And, even if we do remove Drumpf, we’re still gonna have to deal with President Couch Humper. And I don’t see him being that much of an improvement.
