You know, we’ve all known for several years about the Cult of Trump. Large flocks of under informed imbeciles run around, knowing only Trump, hearing only Trump, and believing only Trump. There is no other world but the world of Trump.

But from what I’ve seen in the last 24 hours, since Bratty Matty Gaetz unceremoniously showed former Squeaker Cave-In McCarthy the door, there’s something different here. Cult Trombies sit around and wait for His Lowness to issue instructions. In the last 24 hours, the MAGA Republicans in the House have exceeded that. They’re now literally petitioning their God for a Godlike miracle.

What I’m more reminded of is one of those old National Geographic documentaries of a primitive tribe somewhere in the Amazon jungle. They pick one of their number as a physical manifestation of God on earth. They adore him and show proper homage and respect at all times. He is well cared for. But whenever something inexplicable happens to the tribe, their immediate knee jerk response is to turn to their Godhead to fix the problem! After all, that’s why he’s God.

And in the last 24 hours, that’s exactly what has happened. From the blubbering heads at FUX News down to the Freedom caucus members themselves, their world has been shattered. The MAGA Freedom caucus got tired of yanking McCarthy around like a puppy on a choker chain, and decided to just take the whole damn thing over for themselves. So they kicked the puppy to the curb, And then all hell broke loose. Rather than uniting the party under their benevolent reign, 94% of the Republican conference is uber pissed at Bratty Matty Gaetz, and the Freedom caucus.

Mat Gaetz is the self proclaimed King of Chaos, he’s preached the chaos mantra for years. But that was with the idea that he would control and play the chaos to his ultimate goals. And there is no way for Matt Gaetz to control this chaos, simply because it’s directed at him.

Look, Gaetz and his idiots can extol the virtue of a Speaker Jordan, or a Speaker Scalise all hey want, it’s nothing but empty air. Gaetz can’t afford to call a floor vote for Speaker, simply because he can’t get 218 votes from the GOP caucus for anybody. And the kiss-of-death for Gaetz would be to have to sit through the same damn 15 round voting spectacle that he put McCarthy through.

Time to appeal to the Godhead. All dat today every nattering nabob at FUX, as well as every Freedom Caucus MAGA idiot that can find a camera and a microphone are all bleating out the same, primitive sh*t;

  • Machine Gun Margie proudly told a FUX News anchor that when the House resumes, she’ll proudly put into nomination the name of the nest Speaker of the House, Donald John Trump
  • Jim Jordan told a camera crew, Look, we neeed him in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, but if he wants to be Speaker, then that’s fine
  • FUX News mental midget Sean Hannity breathlessly told his audience that I have on reliable sources that there is an active draft Trump movement in the House, and inside informants tell me that President Trump may be willing to pitch in and help
  • Steve Scalise, desperate to become Speaker himself, made complimentary moo-moo noises when Trump’s name came up, and said We can use all the help we can get

Are you getting this? The texture of this bullsh*t is so rich that you could fertilize Nebraska with it for two harvests. The same morons who literally burned down the village are now asking their God to step in and rebuild the f*cking place. They did everything but genuflect and thump their breasts every time they invoked his name.

To repeat, Please Madre de Dios, let these stupid f*ckers really try to pull this off! Because if they do, that’s the end of any GOP chances for 2024, and the backlash will not only ensure a power sharing Chair in the House, it may well make the GOP a permanent minority in the House for the net generation.

And I can prove it. This is why you guys pay me the Will Smith wages. These ass clowns are hoping to play on Traitor Tot’s overpowering ego in order to stay in his good graces in this time of trial. After all, after all of his craven obedience to Trump Trump let McCarthy go down without so much as a kind word. But if they try this, they’re literally signing their own political death warrants.

Here’s how I know. If Gaetz and the House were stupid enough to put Trump’s name forward for House Speaker next Wednesday, I can tell you right this minute exactly how many votes for Speaker His Lowness would get +/-5.

He would get 146 YEA votes for Speaker. How do I know that? Because late in the evening of January 6th, after Trump’s riotous mob had cleared out of the Capitol, the building was secure, and business resumed, 146 Trump troglodytes in the House voted to not certify the results of the 2020 election. Trump was at his most bellicose, and his House supporters were at their most rabid and energized.

146 votes. When the House MAGA House seditionists were at their most feral to keep Trump from being booted out of office. And the best they could muster were 146 votes in the House, and seven traitors in the Senate.

Last I checked, there are 435 members in the House of Representatives. Let’s just have a little speculative fun. It requires 218 votes to be elected Speaker. But that’s based on all 435 members being present and voting. Right now I believe there’s one empty seat in the House, which would leave the winning total unchanged.

Let’s just say that Machine Gun Marjie decides to swing for the fences, and nominates Trump. The funny thing is that Trump has no say in this, a House member can nominate anyone they want from the floor. Since nobody running for reelection wants to face a revenge primary from the right, Traitor Tot’s name will likely be the only one on the GOP side. The Democrats will of course nominate House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Then let the games begin.

Past experience in January shows us that Hakeem Jeffries will receive a unified 211 Democratic votes. And here’s where the whole scam can blow up in the GOP’s faces. Trump’s baseline is 146 votes. Tops. That means that he needs to win over another 76 GOP votes. And that’s where the math gets dangerous for the GOP. Because as we speak, there are 12 GOP incumbents running for reelection in districts Biden won in 2020. A vote for Trump is a kiss-of-death for them. And there are more than 40 who are in highly competitive or toss-up races. The math doesn’t bode well for Franken Trump.

Let’s just say that Trump manages to scrape his way up to 200. He’s still 18 votes short, but Jeffries is only 7 votes short. A member can cast a vote for anyone from the floor, it doesn’t have to be a name on the ballot. We saw that in January. If all of the Never Trump GOP voters vote for other candidates instead, then there is no winner with 218 votes. But if any seven GOP members either don’t vote, or vote present, then Hakeem Jeffries is the next Speaker of the House.

Either way, Fratty Matty and Machine Gun Marjie are dog sh*t. Trump’s ego already has more bruises on it than somebody who went 12 rounds with Muhammad Ali. It would be humiliating enough to come up short but be in the lead, he could always soothe his feelings by immediately ordering primaries against the turncoats that voted against them. Like they’d care, they’re in moderate districts, that’s why they voted against him. But to finish second to the Democrat, whether Jeffries won or not, would be a bridge too far. And either way, Greene and Gaetz will find themselves saddled with an incredibly expensive primary from the right, with Trump gladly footing the bill.

The GOP caucus has devolved into a total clusterf*ck, and I don’t see any way out of it than a meeting of the minds between sane GOP moderates and Democrats. But by far and away, the absolute worst thing that the Freedom caucus could do would be to turn the Speakership contest into a freak show by nominating Trump. So of course that’s what they’ll do. Because he’s the Godhead, right? Mr. Fixit. Don’t touch that dial.

  1. There seems to be a consensus that Trump can’t be nominated.

Anyone who has been indicted for any felony for which a sentence of two or more years imprisonment may be imposed can’t ‘serve in a leadership position in the Republican Party’ (Rule 26A).

Though I guess they could change the rules, or ignore them- after all this IS the republican party.

    • I think that you are misinterpreting Rule 26. Here are rules 26 (a and b):

Rule 26—Temporary Step Aside of a Member of Leadership who is Indicted

      (a) A member of the Republican Leadership shall step aside if indicted for a felony for which a sentence of two or more years imprisonment may be imposed.

      (b) If a member of the Republican Elected Leadership is indicted, the Republican Conference shall meet and elect a Member to temporarily serve in that position.

First, what is the actual source of your quote, ‘serve in a leadership position in the Republican Party’? You imply that it is Rule 26A. However, it does not come from Rule 26 (a) of the House Republican Conference for the 118th Congress, which I quoted above.

Second, I think that you misunderstand the verb tense. Rules a and b above clearly state that if the person in leadership is indicted, then certain events will follow. The indictment would clearly follow the person’s assumption of the leadership position. To assume that the indictment might precede the assumption of leadership would require the possibility that an already-indicted person could be given the leadership position and then have it stripped from him because of his preceding indictment. That would be an absurd assumption, even for the Republicans, so I think that we ought not to make it.

Since the rule clearly concerns the situation in which the indictment follows rather than precedes the assumption of leadership, the rule would not apply to Donald Trump since he has already been indicted.

As for the possibility that the Republican Party would change or ignore its rules, the House Democratic Party has its own set of rules, which it has the same right to change or ignore.

Also of interest, to me, anyway: The GOP rules specify that the Speaker is one of “The Elected Republican Leaders of the House of Representatives.” There is no stated requirement that he be a member of the Republican Party. So, if Hakeem Jeffries were elected Speaker in a race against Trump, then …

    • This is an amendment to my first response. Herein I quote somebody who agrees with your position. I apologize for not thinking to include it to begin with.

I have seen that Casey Decker, Mauricio Chamberlin, and Kelly Jones, in an article at verifythis.com, wrote, “Yes, the GOP has Rule 26(a) and the Democrats have Rule 4, both of which say the speaker can’t hold the seat while under indictment. However, these rules aren’t legally binding and aren’t always followed.” I contend that the two rules do not say what these writers think the rules say. Grammatically, the rules apply only to a speaker who is indicted (becomes indicted) while serving as speaker.
In my previous comment, I quoted the Republican rule. I have now looked at the Democratic rule. It says, “The Speaker [followed by a list of other officials] “who is indicted for a felony” and goes on. Notice that “is indicted” does not include a previous indictment. It only refers to a situation in which a person who is already one of the listed officials is indicted while serving in that position. So, my interpretation of the Democratic rule is that it has the same meaning as the Republican rule: Neither rule prohibits a person from serving in any of the offices named in the rule based solely on an indictment that preceded the service.
If the Democrats, and similarly the Republicans, intend to exclude people already under indictment from being elected to serve in official party positions, they are bright enough to be able to write such a rule.

  2. I’m writing this on every article in hopes ms faw sees it. My ESET antivirus won’t let me open your site. It says it’s corrupted. It doesn’t say why. Just wanted you to know. I’ll try to find a reason

    • Mine is doing the same on my home computer. My laptop seems to be doing ok. I have renewed my ESET protection just maybe two weeks ago so I figured that was the problem.

To the dumb-ass calling Carol a liar: I’m guessing you don’t realize people often have access to more than one computer or device so I am giving you a “heads up” notification-people often have more than one device they can use to access P.Z.

  3. Murf, try this one on for size:

Jeffries is nominated and the Rs vote FOR him. He becomes Speaker and then they sabotage HIM, too.

Then the Rs get to BLAME the Democratic Party for their failures. Again.

That scenario scares me. But I’m sure Jeffries has it figured out.

    • In Texas the dems do not control anything. No control in the legislature and no control of any statewide office. The one area that dems have been able to slow things down is by supporting the repub speaker Dade Phelan. Dade Phelan is a moderate and because of his dem support is able to keep the right wing crazies from getting too much passed.

I don’t think any house of representatives repubs would vote for Jeffries, but if Jeffries could find the right moderate republican who would negotiate in good faith then maybe dems become kingmakers. just a thought

  4. Well, there are the votes to put Jeffries in. They didn’t do it because of the crap it would start. They might go for it now since moron proved he’s biggest moron. The whole McCarthy thing was really a desperate attempt to give matty cover and support for this investigation. All this time while everyone was sitting around cracking jokes real investigators were on matty. Dumbass thought that the house gop would be like a bunch of idiots bowing down and kissing the floor as he walked by. The reality is they got a rope and they are looking for something tall enough and sturdy enough to hang his ass from. Imagine the surprise that caused the loser.
