Yes, dictator-ing. If they want financial assistance, they have to attend a school that Petey Boy approves. What. The. Actual. Eff. The blacklisted schools are probably too ‘woke’ and not manly enough for him. Why in the hell should he care? Just another way of tightening stupid screws on the military. He doesn’t realize that the harder he tries to grab them and grab control, the faster they will slip through his fingers. And people will not want to join the Armed Forces until he leaves. Calling in officers from around the world to prance on the stage and lecture them was not a good idea, and it’s (he’s) only gone downhill from there. It’s a day late, but. Thank you, Raw Story:
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has created a nightmare for some servicemembers with a new policy that seeks to blacklist several colleges and universities from military tuition assistance, CNN reported on Friday. Under the new policy, outlined in a memo last week, “Military officers could soon find dozens of top colleges and universities across the United States abruptly off limits for tuition assistance,” as a part of Hegseth’s “campaign against schools he describes as being biased against the US military and sponsoring ‘troublesome partnerships with foreign adversaries.'”
What in the heck does he mean by partnerships with foreign adversaries? *Trump* is the one bringing people into the schools. Remember the Golden Pass stupidity? So, does that mean he is now telling Trump whom he can or cannot bring into the country? It’s a bad idea to try to tell your boss what to do, and it’s even worse if it’s Trump. Petey may get himself fired if this keeps up. It’s a pity we couldn’t be that lucky, except then who would Trump bring in? Would that person be better or worse?
The memo commands the military to “evaluate all existing graduate programs for active-duty members at Ivy League universities and any other universities that similarly diminish critical thinking and have significant adversary involvement, and determine whether they deliver cost-effective, strategic education for future senior leaders when compared to public universities and military master’s programs.” “The uncertainty about tuition assistance and eligible programs for Defense Department funding has led to confusion and concern amongst service members who have already applied or been accepted to these schools,” said the report.
Diminish critical thinking. What does *that* mean? Ivy League and other top schools are *hard* to get into. This is not a place someone would choose on a whim. But it seems those schools are anti-Petey and therefore are not eligible for financial assistance. His lack of intelligence and failure to comprehend what it means to be in one of these schools is astounding. If someone wants the best school for their interest, then let them go there! That’s straightforward!
Additionally, the report continues, officials “said they were concerned it amounted to an attempt to purge diversity of thought from the military.” This comes as Hegseth, who has styled himself “Secretary of War” by an executive decree that carries no legal weight, got a brutal smackdown in federal court over his attempts to enact military punishment against Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) for his role in a video reminding active-duty troops they have a responsibility to refuse orders that would constitute war crimes.
Yes, Petey Boy can’t just let that go. The video was not against him, just a reminder of the military allegiance to the *Constitution*. He has taken it as a personal affront and really wants to do something to Senator Kelly, so he’s trying everything he can think of, and it’s not working. Note that he hasn’t tried to do anything to the *other* people on the video, at least that we know of. So Petey keeps flailing around trying to be all machismo, and instead, he’s looking like a power-hungry, petty tyrant. See you soon!
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

Hmm. I wonder if Princeton is among these blacklisted universities? I only ask because old Petey boy graduated from that institution.
Oh, my. I didn’t know that. Then again, I generally don’t dig in that heavily. I leave that for the other writers with substantially more experience. Now I want to see the list!
someone’s diminishing critical thinking. i don’t know but i’m guessing most officers aren’t pursuing militRy masters programs.
Hmmmm, interesting point. Thank you!
