Peter Navarro, for reasons known only to Peter Navarro and apparently not even to Donald Trump, went on Fox News Monday and announced that the China trade deal had finally collapsed. That sent U.S. stock-index futures reeling by more than 400 points, before Trump got on Twitter and said the China trade deal was just fine, and then Navarro said that he had been quoted “wildly out of context.” Here’s the video of what he said. On Thursday Trump said that there could be a “complete decoupling from China” according to Market Watch.
In all events, two very alarming signs coming out of Trump world. 1. the left hand doesn’t know what the right is doing, if Trump has to get on Twitter and say the dead opposite of what his economic adviser says on Fox News, and 2. the conspiracy theory that Navarro was pushing was over the top.
“They came here on January 15, to sign that trade deal and that was a full two months after they knew that virus was out and about…it was at a time when they had sent hundreds of thousands of people to this country to spread that virus, it was just minutes after wheels up and that plane took off that we began to hear about that pandemic.”
Navarro is lying through his teeth. He personally was sending memos to Trump about the pandemic in January. Plus, the Trump administration knew about the pandemic in November. They told Israel and NATO and did nothing else about it. That story broke in April and I was amazed then and am amazed now that it wasn’t a bigger story. Evidently the decision was made by the White House to lie that nothing was known about the pandemic until mid-January. Trump has repeatedly denied getting memos in January or February from Navarro about the pandemic killing half a million Americans and costing as much as $6Trillion. The takeaway here is that if somebody in this administration thinks they can sell a bold faced lie, they’ll give it a shot. Kayleigh McEnany lied through her teeth today, saying that Trump never used the phrase, “Kung flu.” Yes he did. He said it on live television in Tulsa and millions of us heard it.
So now, back to it all being China’s fault, as you hear, from both Trump and Navarro, China deliberately set out to get the United States and sent “thousands of people…to spread the virus” and apparently this is the strongman Trump talking point that they’re hoping to sell in November.
Something got botched tonight, that much is clear. But like everything else in Trump world, it will take a little time to track down and sort out. What a crew of incompetents on a ship of fools, with a “stunningly uninformed,” to quote John Bolton, idiot at the helm.
Lies on lies on lies.
Why are these people even being covered by any media as if they are serious ?
In all fairness, I think it’s because we’ve never seen this before. In any previous administration, if a presidential economic adviser had something to say, media outlets were grateful to cover the story. In this administration, all it does is provide a platform for lies. That is what has to stop, before all our institutions go to hell on a bobsled. Not that they haven’t already.

I agree, when her blasphemy begins, her carefully identified, loose leaf stack of counter points is ready for reference, it amazes me how she can dead pan her statements when the pig fart, “genius” sloth, in the midst of another golf round, has bulldozed the Virus plans, that were so carefully laid out, AND STAFFED, by Obama … all with claims of innocence, and yet, he was careful, as usual, to make sure in public statements, he would get credit for such a, “brilliant”, stroke of genius.
His extreme stupidity will consume his fake presidency, but not until he kills thousands more of us, the needed, immediate intervention has been sidetracked by the GOP planned foot dragging, the criminal actions by the WH turd brain are so large in scope, a bunch of GOP high level Congress people HAVE to know about the warehousing/sales of PPE’s stolen from Germany, interceptions going to states directly, the non-action during the claimed emergency to order the manufacturing of millions of test kits, per the public statement back then, he did not want testing, well, because of his numbers … then, during his sick show in Tulsa, he confirmed that mode is real …
Just so DJT won’t forget, 120,000 families certainly won’t, he constantly needs to be reminded of this stupid stance of trading thousands of citizen’s lives for his incompetent malignant narcissism … all the front line health workers he has killed with stashing PPE’s and turning away from them at the most critical times, giving their own lives because of actually caring for those sickened by the Trump Virus … in spite of no support/supplies from DJT …

I still maintain tRump takes sadistic pleasure in every single death that has occured on his watch, including migrant children and adults, Coronavirus victims and Black men and boys at the hands of police. tRump is full of hate but he’s a total wuss and hasn’t got the guts to kill anybody outright. But he has consistently made decisions (or failed to make them) that have resulted in deaths. And he doesn’t take responsibility for anything he’s done.
