I was an Epstein skeptic for a long, long time. I doubted that Trump appeared in the little black book only because Trump had a long history of assaulting women on his own without help and they tended to be women-women, real women, the type that said “No” and he would then rape them (Allegedly. But the evidence is overwhelming and he’s been adjudicating as lying about rape.) Additionally, some time ago, Epstein butted Trump out of a land deal in Florida, which, according to Trump – and some records at the time – ended their friendship. That sounds like Trump, where money “trumps” everything. Trump had his own modeling agency, and the teen pageants. He had his own access to whatever he wanted. I was skeptical as to his involvement in the illegal Epstein activity (The pictures largely show them with adult women). I am now utterly convinced that Trump is absolutely and prominently tied to Epstein with the files they do have, list or no. And it’s because of something that came directly unprompted from Trump’s own mouth.
It wasn’t the fact that Bondi refused to release the materials (Trump made the call, obviously, that was apparent before this latest outburst). The decision didn’t quite change my mind. I thought it was just as likely that the files nailed “friends” of Trump who could release their own damaging material on Trump involving other shady stuff. But today, Trump had a talk on the lawn with reporters, and it removes all doubt:

True, Obama had nothing to do with it, but it isn’t the fact that Trump blames Obama that sends this over the top. No, it was Trump saying that we’ve been here before with “Russia Russia, Russia” – THAT is personal, that is Trump, that is all about him, and he is effectively saying that Obama, Comey, and Biden put these files together in the same way they did “Russia Russia Russia” and those accusations were? About Trump personally. He flat told us that these files, prepared by the same people, were like Russia, which was all about him.
Trump is now panicking, clearly. This was a major error (I cannot believe it isn’t front page news in The New York Times; he just gave up the ghost.) If this is “Russia, Russia, Russia,” he may still claim innocence, but the evidence points to him. Indeed, Trump seems to be softening the ground for leaks that will point to him. He is preparing people. It is Russia all over again.
There is precious little need for more analysis. This is as clear as evidence gets prior to an outright admission in my opinion. The man looks scared. He also just let a major error slip – he must be scared. Now the only thing left to do is to spread this clip far and wide.
The Russia files were prepared by Comey and Obama. And they were about Trump personally. Comey and Obama did not prepare these files, and both held off on putting them out to cut Trump down. There is no reason to believe that Trump isn’t a prominent figure in the Epstein files. None.
I have finally come around.

Russia! Russia! Russia was not a hoax. There may have been some embellishments, but Russia interfered in our election to help Cheeto. Multiple sources said so. And ever since no conspiracy could be confirmed, the narrative has been rewritten by wingers.
As for the fabled Epstein list? I can think of only one reason for it not to have been destroyed by this president: names appear in it that he sees as being helpful to him in the future if he holds onto the evidence, either monetarily or by adding to his power base.
The only way we’ll ever know of its contents is if some unknown has a duplicate and they choose to publish someday. I have to say, if someone does have this info, they must feel like they’re sitting on an armed nuclear weapon!
Gary, no “embellishments” were needed for the Russia Russia files: only long afterwards did tons of incriminating evidence get revealed as to the depth and breadth of Putin’s efforts to get Trumpler elected. For example, only recently has evidence surfaced about the actions of the Kremlin’s infamous Unit 29115 as cyber hackers before and during Trump’s presidency. That unit usually performs things like poisonings and kidnappings for Putin, but it’s been actively engaged in cyber warfare all along. It was responsible for all the bullshit claims about Covid bio-labs in Ukraine and Georgia causing the pandemic which Trump so badly mishandled.
I have to wonder if Ghislane Maxwell has incriminating documents safely in the hands of her lawyers, just in case she meets the same end as her pal Jeffrey.
