DHS and the administration had no idea their thugs and their excesses would provoke such a strong response. They expected us to back down. They were wrong. They’re afraid the protests will grow across the US. We agree they will ripple out. Minnesota filled that bucket up and over, and yes, it is spreading. It doesn’t have to be fast. It just has to be steady. We the People. With gratitude to Raw Story:
The ongoing fierce resistance to the surge of federal immigration officers in Minnesota is striking real fear in the Trump administration, one adviser to President Donald Trump revealed Sunday, so much so that officials worry that resistance may spread elsewhere across the nation. Late last year, the Trump administration deployed thousands of federal immigration officers to Minnesota in the wake of the controversial fraud investigation by MAGA influencer Nick Shirley into Somali daycares. The immigration enforcement operations have been met with fierce resistance by locals, particularly after the fatal shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti.
That fraud bit was horsepucky, just like eating the cats and dogs. So, fierce resistance? That’s an understatement. Unstoppable resistance might be a better phrase. It happened all over Minnesota. It happened in Chicago and Portland. The more they worry, the better for us. One would hope that ICE Barbie would put the brakes on DHS, but as lovely a picture as that is, zero chance it will happen. She isn’t looking very good at all. Krispi would be better off taking a step back and rethinking her operation. But that would be smart, and she hasn’t been putting many checkmarks in the smart column lately.
That resistance, which also included a statewide general strike, is apparently getting to the Trump administration, which has since announced plans to phase out immigration enforcement operations in the state. Speaking with Zeteo in its report Sunday on the condition of anonymity, one Trump adviser told the outlet that resistance to Immigration and Customs Enforcement – along with other federal immigration enforcement agencies – has “only spread” and gotten stronger across the nation.
Other Trump administration officials who also spoke on the condition of anonymity told Zeteo that the growing resistance sparked fears that future immigration enforcement operations in other states could be jeopardized, and thus, facilitated the need to impose a “drawdown” of its officers in Minnesota to preserve political capital for future ICE “deployments.”
Again, the drawdown will be believed when it’s seen, and right now we aren’t seeing a damn thing in terms of exits. That word jeopardized makes me grin. Having all those people in one place likely let us do a whole lot in other places, and the thugs didn’t do anything besides run rampant and get themselves in a lot of trouble. Of course, we could see that coming back when they wanted to hire 10,000 more agents and then skipped a bunch of steps. It became Thugs ‘R’ Us.
“In other words, these intra-administration analyses describe Minnesota in strikingly similar ways to how past administrations have interpreted America’s failed wars abroad, including in Vietnam,” reads the Zeteo report. “The enemy isn’t breaking; the invasion and level of manpower are draining resources, and the quagmire is killing political support at home.” Indeed, Trump’s favorability has plummeted in the wake of the immigration enforcement operations in Minnesota, particularly among key voter demographics like independents and young voters. According to a new YouGov/Economist poll, Trump’s approval among those aged 18 to 29 fell a staggering 51 points since the president took office last year.
Plummeted. Oh good. The lower they go, the hotter it gets, whether you’re discussing religious locations or the core of the earth. The lower they go, the more panic will increase. At some point, Trump ought to be feeling it. He keeps trying to distract from something or other, and then the distraction doesn’t work either. Leaving WHO. Bombing small civilian boats. Snatching Maduro and his wife. The failure at Davos. Epstein. ICE/CBP. We haven’t forgotten these, no matter which is prevalent at the time. There’s one other thing. Can you imagine being an athlete competing at the Winter Olympics right now? It has to flat-out suck. I am an American, and Trump does not speak for me.
Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise that among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest-working. We’re a group of old, disabled people, except for one writer in his mid-50s. The rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the chance to keep telling the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula

Who could have thought that wildly unpopular policies would be wildly unpopular?
No-one in MAGA it seems.
Well, MAGA doesn’t think, either 😉 look at their orange tin god, yes? Heh heh heh.
What an absurdly ignorant piece. Your resistance is ridiculous and is scaring absolutely no one. Why can’t you far left zealots admit that the ICE/CBP operations in Minnesota were a success? Removing over 4,000 criminal aliens from the streets AND locating over 3,000 unaccompanied children that bidumb lost is a pretty good result.
Oh by the way, the somali fraud scandal is of course real as evidenced by all the convictions that already happened with (hopefully) many more to come. Thank God for independent journalist Nick Shirley! Everyone knows that the lamestream media is no longer interested in investigating and exposing democrats, and because of his street level reporting other states will (hopefully) be investigated. Hope they start with California and New York.
Only together can we Make America Great Again!
