Excited NRA members will have the opportunity to win the same model AR that was used in the Uvalde, Texas school shooting (though a slightly fancier version) during the “Banned Guns” raffle at the NRA Convention in Houston tomorrow.

“Just one day after the mass shooting in Texas that killed 19 children and two adults at a primary school in Uvalde, the National Rifle Association (NRA) promoted its “Banned Guns Giveaway” raffle, with prizes including a similar model of assault-style rifle to the one reportedly used by the 18-year-old shooter.
The raffle includes “12 world-class guns that Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, and Nancy Pelosi want to ban,” the NRA description of the event reads. Every gun prize includes 1,000 rounds of ammo, the NRA advertises. Entering the raffle is “fast, easy and fun,” says the NRA. Each ticket costs just $5, and the minimum age requirement to participate is 21 years old.“

And, of course, the gun is NOT banned by any means, the 18 year old shooter had to shop around at several shops in his area to get the best price, but, nonetheless, thanks to your high-power hook-up daddies at the NRA you can get yours for the price of a $5.00 ticket!
The Daniel Defense DDM4 V7 PRO, valued at $3,028 by the association, is an enhancement of the same AR-15 style-assault rifle Ramos used in his rampage on Tuesday.
“Officials said the teen had bought two rifles, a Smith & Wesson M&P 15 and a Daniel Defense DDM4 V7, right after his 18th birthday last week, as soon as it was legally possible for him to purchase the firearms.”
Daniel Defense is capable of some shame anyway, deciding to not attend the event and issuing this statement:
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic events in Texas this week. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and community devastated by this evil act. As reported in Governor Abbott’s press conference, it is our understanding that the firearm used in the attack was manufactured by Daniel Defense. We will cooperate with all federal, state, and local law enforcement authorities in their investigations. We will keep the families of the victims and the entire Uvalde community in our thoughts and our prayers,”
But apparently the NRA is incapable of any shame and, as of this writing, plan to go ahead with the giveaway as planned.

There is a lot of jaw-dropping and accurate information about evil in the book “People of the Lie” by M. Scott Peck. But the case that keeps coming back and haunting me is the case of the young man (older teen) whose parents gave him for Dhristmas the gun his older brother had used to kill himself. Not the same make and model, but THE ACTUAL GUN. Could they have said it more plainly if they had said it out loud? “Go shoot yourself.”
Well the gun people will have to prop up the gunman so they can present him with his new gun and ammo. Then after he goes on a rampage that other idiot will be able to prosecute him before he starts smelling to bad. And I had a thought. These republicans are loving all these big crowd events. Be something if some nut job gave them a visit. I think the republicans might do something then.
