This is beautiful. The upcoming No Kings protest on October 18 has the Republicans really worried, and it shows. This is the last thing they want to happen – to show the American people are tired of Trump and his machinations. Too bad. We are! There is a protest planned to tell Donald Trump, we are tired of you. You’re *not* a king or a dictator. He is the president of a democracy.
Not only is he NOT a king, but the Republicans supporting him should be scared because they are NOT courtiers to enable him in his dark designs. We’re saying this is wrong and we *will* take our country back. No more of your bullshit. No more trying to make us bow to an autocrat. And we can help with midterms to flip Congress back to some sort of sanity. From Raw Story:
The No Kings protests are scheduled for this Saturday, Oct. 18, and are a follow-up to the previous No Kings protests that took place last summer, attended by an estimated four-to-six million people. “It has become very clear that President Donald Trump is really, really worried about the No Kings protests that are scheduled for October 18,” Sargent said on his podcast “The Daily Blast,” published on The New Republic Tuesday. “Suddenly, multiple Republicans are all using the same disgusting talking point about the protests, referring to [protesters] as agitators and terrorists. It sure looks coordinated. They’re all using the same vile language.”
Yup. Running scared and trying to deflect anything and everything to cover their asses. It’s not going to be easy, Republicans. It’s not going to be easy for us either. . There is a lot of work to be done so we *can* flip the seats in Congress. Trump is trying to get rid of midterm voting because when, not if, we take control of Congress, his enablers are going to have a lot less power. This *has* to work out for us.
A growing number of Republican lawmakers have condemned the impending protests, and have used similar language. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) called the demonstration a “hate America rally,” as did Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN); Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) called it a “Soros paid-for protest,” referencing the billionaire liberal philanthropist George Soros, a frequent “bogeyman” on the right. The pushback, Sargent argued, would only backfire by prompting protests to “get larger.” “There’s nothing Trump hates more than seeing big crowds arrayed against him,” Sargent said.

No matter what you say, no matter what you try to incite, we are bigger and better. We know it’s just words. And your obsession, we call it like we see it, with George Soros should have died a quiet death years ago. Sheesh!
Sargent was joined on the podcast by columnist Jill Lawrence, who said that while she wasn’t surprised by the GOP backlash to the impending protests, the coordinated attacks revealed the party’s growing fear of dissent among Americans. “This is traditional, this is constitutional, this is a right, and they’re trying to turn it into something really evil. But that’s because they’re scared of it, and they know that it turns public opinion,” Lawrence said.
Indeed, it does, and indeed we will. This should be even bigger than the first one. They are afraid of what it will say. Enough of the nonsense, Congress. Enough of the doomsayers. And enough of Trump’s bullshit! Trump has wrecked our country in the eyes of the world. He has flat-out wrecked our country! We have thugs roaming the streets at will under the umbrella of DHS and ICE. We have the military in blue cities.
He has slapped on tariffs for damn near every country (except Russia, because TACO for any sanctions or restrictions or whatever there), so except for the very rich, we are all crushed beneath those tariff costs on us. Anything paid goes into the government coffers. We can count on Trump getting that money into something of his, yes, we can. The grifting is in your face every day. Friends, I know everyone begs you for money. I promise, among all those asking for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. You mean where your spoiled asses couldn’t accept 2020, called for violence, injured over 100 officers, shitting on the floor of the capital, defacing priceless artifacts, using the flagpoles as a weapon, calling for the hanging of the VP, and much much more. You mean that kind of mess?????
