Get ready for three of the most enjoyable minutes that you have had all day, if not all year. At least since May 30, when the guilty conviction was announced. Now that was a great day. This will make you feel good but not that good. This video clip is stellar. Donald Trump has that simpering expression that he gets when he’s being praised. It’s a combination of, “Yes, I do deserve this,” combined with, “Jesus, is this guy stupid enough to think this? Wow.” But the audio you’re going to see along with the expression is nothing that would bring that worshipful self-contemplation to Trump’s face. Oh, no. The audio that accompanies this video (which I believe is from April when Trump was in Grand Rapids) would send Trump screaming into an all-caps meltdown — if not an out and out aneurism.

This had me rolling for quite a while and then when he got to the “convicted felon” part I said, “Aw shucks, this is AI.” But it’s great AI. It is AI elevated to art, at least in my opinion.
And what would make this even funnier is if this could have a Greek chorus of voices, Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Mike Johnson, Mitch McConnell, Tim Scott, Marge, Bobo, the whole lot of them, taking different sentences and just chiming in. Because this is their dogma, right here. This is their gospel, their ideology, their Lord’s prayer, their Apostle’s Creed. Trump is an innocent victim and the fact that he’s found himself in litigation since the 70’s, when he was a young man, just doesn’t seem to impact any of this. He is the blameless victim of lawfare.
The Republican party is gambling on selling exactly what this guy is saying right here in this video. That he doesn’t believe it, and that America should not believe it. If we are that stupid, then we deserve to lose our republic. It really is as simple as that. I pray that the better angels of our nature will prevail.
Me too Ursula, especially on the 80th anniversary of D-day. It’s inconceivable how 73 million citizens, enjoying the freedoms we have, paid for in blood, would even consider this fascist pig for the highest office in the land. It makes my blood boil.
