There’s an old saying in Hollywood, you don’t shit where you eat, meaning you don’t cross the people you do business with so or they will cut you loose from the group and you won’t be eating anymore. Mike Lindell just did a colossal faux pas which is putting him on the outs with the farthest limits of uber right-wingnuttia. First he started out ranting about journalists being Antifa spies at his symposium and as you may recall he personally called out Salon reporter Zachary Petrizzo and Dispatch fact-checker Khaya Himmelman as part of the plot. Then he escalated that and claimed that “TruNews” was Antifa. Plus he’s nattering on about the Associated Press and CNN doing bad things but that’s par for the course.
But the Antifa crack about TruNews sent shockwaves all through right-wingnuttia. because TruNews is labelled by Media Bias Fact Checker dot com as a tin foil hat conspiracy theory site, embracing pseudo science.. Now that is the very definition of Lindell land. So what was he doing with this bizarre accusation?
Come to find out just a short while ago that Lindell was talking about TruthOut, not TruNews. TruthOut is a non profit site labelled as Left Biased, as is this site. So evidently TruthOut published something that Lindell didn’t like, as we have so many times, too, and he decided to go after them. But he kept saying “TruNews” instead of TruthOut and so TruNews became livid.
Rick Wiles, the RWNJ pastor and owner of TruNews, is now demanding a public apology and $1 Million of Lindell’s money to make him whole. Civil war comes to Wingnuttia.
First watch this tape of Lindell this morning. He can hardly keep his eyes open. But he’s declaring what a ringing success the cyber symposium was because he’s uncovered the Antifa/Media nexus.

Lindell reminds me of druggies I have known who do both uppers and downers. He would appear to be in a crash cycle right now, he’s not screaming as much as usual.

Lindell is even more unhinged than you know. Here he’s saying that Dennis Montgomery, the Hammer and Scorecard fraudster who convinced Dubya he could extract Al Qaeda messages from Al Jazeera broadcasts has data that is “100 percent valid.”

I have no idea what TruthOut said or did to upset Mike Lindell but truth be known, I’m not sure what I did to upset Mike Lindell. That whole episode took me by storm. I came home from Trader Joe’s one night with a bottle of margarita mix, went online and in my Twitter feed people were saying, “Mike Lindell ranted about you for ten minutes! It’s the funniest thing I’ve ever heard.” Jimmy Kimmel thought so too.
In all events, either Lindell will apologize or he won’t and he’ll either cough up a million bucks or he won’t. My instinct is he won’t. TruNews can’t prove damages and they know it. In which case Lindell will be at odds with the tin foil hat crowd, and they’re his core base.
Look for this to get strange, plenty.
