This by far and away the worst part of being a Democrat. The minute the littlest thing goes wrong, it’s like being in a daycare class when the snack ends up having an apple instead of a cookie. Whining and crying and kicking and screaming!
I thought last night was a disgrace, but the Democratic reaction today is beyond pathetic. The way these whinerbags are carrying on today, you’d think that Biden walked on stage yesterday with his bib still under his chin, and his Depends on outside his suit pants.
F*ck Me! Biden laid an egg last night, grow a pair and get over it. In my career, did I never tell a joke that crashed and burned? Haven’t any of you? And I defy you to find me a single baseball, hockey, or basketball team playing in a 7 game playoff series that didn’t drop a bomb at least once. Does that mean everybody runs out in the morning and cancels their season tickets for next year? Get over yourselves!
Biden had a bad night. Personally I think that Traitor Tot got in his head. He spent so much time talking about Biden getting shots in the ass, and getting his Red Bull by IV that Biden over controlled himself in an attempt to show that Trump was full of sh*t. And now you’ve got tear streaked ninnies screaming about taking Biden off of the Biden-Harris ticket. News Flash! The only way the Democrats could remove Biden from the ticket that didn’t lead to an electoral Armageddon would be for Biden to resign before the convention, making Kamala Harris the President, and nominee by acclimation. Which carries its own risks.
Here’s what happened, Biden had a sh*t night. So what. That night I woke up in the parking lot at the strip club with no shoes wasn’t my best night either, but I got over it. Gut Moaning Myrtles like Katy Tur really need a three bong hit lunch, and pile in those Dorito’s. She’s wailing like a banshee that cuz Biden tanked, that means that Trump got away with nonstop lying and bullsh*t for the whole debate!
What a crock of sh*t! Katy and her band of damp hankies need to crawl off of their fainting couches, turn on the tv, and watch some of the coverage from their own network! Because early feedback on the blowback shows something completely different.
Starting immediately after the debate last night, MSNBC cut to a couple of watch parties in key swing states made up of undecided voters. And the almost universal verdict was that it was at worst a wash for Biden, and a debacle for Trump.
Among the voters unsure of Biden because of his age, they were ambivalent. A couple of them came away saying that the debate decided them to vote for Biden, because of his honesty, fact knowledge and sincerity. The others came away saying that they weren’t prepared to vote for Biden, yet. He may not have snagged them, but he didn’t permanently turn them away from him either. On the other hand, not. one. single. undecided voter told reporters that they had decided to vote for Trump because of his strong Presidential performance. In fact, the two words most commonly applied to Trump’s performance were constant. liar.
And I don’t want to hear jack sh*t about the moderators and fact checking! First of all, that wasn’t their job, and if it had been, Biden wouldn’t have gotten a word in all night. And second, do all of you whiny brats mean to tell me that you’re so insecure you can’t even catch a lie without somebody showing you contesting facts to back your knowledge up? If your hubby staggers in the house at 7 am with lipstick on his collar, and tells you he got wasted at the bar and fell asleep in the car, does that mean if his drinking buddy doesn’t pop up from behind the sofa with the motel room receipt, he gets away with it? As Biden would say, Give me a break!
Here’s what actually happened last night, straight up. Biden shot himself in the foot, but it’s only a flesh wound, he’s already treating it today with rousing speeches and counter attack, admitting he fell on his face, but saying Where I come from, if you get knocked down, you get back up again! While he may not have attracted as many people to him as he had hoped for, he didn’t permanently drive any of them away from him either. And he’s already starting his rehab tour today. And oh yeah, he won the debate hands down.
Here’s why. Trump was Trump, but the worst possible Trump for trying to woo converts from a non MAGA audience. His bullsh*t was constant, incomprehensible, spiteful, nonsensical, and meandering. What Trump did was to reinforce for Never Trumpers, Independents, and Nikki Haley voters why they ditched his fat, sorry ass in the first place. Biden can still attract new voters with his charm, humor, and integrity. The only thing Trump knows how to do is to drive them away. And that’s the only contrast every Democrat running for office, and weak kneed Nervous Nellies calling themselves Democrats should be making for the next 131 days. Put your big boy pants on and dance with the one that brung ya!

As always, spot on. I watched President Biden’s NC rally clip. He covered all the bases. yeah, maybe he could have done better last night, but, in a way, “letting TFG be TFG” was not a bad idea either.

Murf, I wholeheartedly agree. But I will go a step further by drawing attention to the reality that there are people out there hanging out on Democratic web sites, who pretend to be Democrats, but who aren’t. I don’t care how many years they have been “members” of a particular web site, but they are not here to do us any favors. They are here to divide us into factions, and by doing so, make us lose the next election. It is their aim. Some are Putin’s trolls, and some are Magat trolls. I suppose a few are just misguided souls not realizing how they are working to destroy our ability to beat Trump. But the outcome is the same. I think we need to boot them or at least do as you are doing, and oppose them strenuously with your written voice. Thank you.

He will go on to win the election. However it did serve to highlight the incompetence of the media and the “mushy” support of so-called democratic stalwarts.

You’re correct-last night didn’t do anything to lessen Biden’s accomplishments. What it did do was underscore the fact, whether we like the fact or not, that he is old. In our society that is what will stick in people’s minds. You know it. I know it. Everyone with a modicum of sense knows it. Of course the fact that piece of sh*t little weasel from Louisiana playing at being house squeaker is going to hammer home the fact Biden is old every f*cking day he remains squeaker.
We can all say “oh grow a pair”, “it’s one debate” yada, yada, yada. It was still a debate in which Biden looked every one of his 80+ years. We sure as hell better hope women, LGBTQ+ folks, p.o.c., etc. come out in vast numbers to vote, for which we will have the con xtians on the s.c. to thank, because I’m afraid this little performance put a lot of dems (and other potential Biden voters) in the mood to give up, stay home, and all kinds of other non-helpful things.

We channel-surfed in and out of the debate, disappointed that the President seemed to get caught flat-footed at times, and not surprised that Von Schitzenpantz held true to form by dodging questions
asked by Tapper and Bash, insulting Biden, or lying his ass off.
When I read analysis today that the President may have OVERprepared for the event, and appeared to be affected by a head cold or other minor ailment (his hoarseness), last night’s result made sense. Not only that, it didn’t change our intended votes.
His remarks and mannerism at today’s event in NYC were certainly reassuring.
BTW, he has two years on me, and can run circles around me both physically and on a debate stage; the other guy, not so much.
I did not watch the debate at all. I cannot stomach seeing or hearing fat ass at all. I received an email from Lara Trump today basically touting victory. They live in their own bubble, it will eventually burst. Dems sent an email for my opinion. Biden needs to focus on reproductive rights, gun safety and the other guy is a phycho white nationalist. It’s that simple.
The only sure way to lose a fight IS TO GIVE UP! Biden showed up in NC yesterday and took the issue on and nailed trump for the LIAR he is. Spike…age equals experience. Do you seriously think Biden could have turned this thing around as quickly as he did, DEALING WITH A WRECKED ECONOMY, A HOUSE FULL OF TRAITORS, AND TWO TURNCOAT SENATORS, WITHOUT HAVING SPENT 50 YEARS IN THE SENATE AND AS VP? You fall into ageism if you can’t see that it’s his experience over his years that has gotten us this far. I don’t run into too many 20 and 30 something year olds who know much of anything that isn’t related to social media. Only the young are stupid enough to think experience doesn’t matter.
