A few weeks ago Melania Trump was hailed as a “best selling author.” Now full disclosure: I do not pretend to know how the advance sales of books go, or how many advance copies need to be ordered before one becomes touted as, or predicted to be, a “best seller.” But I do know that after a book is released and reviewed, then the initial reviews from normal people, consumers, in addition to advance criticial reviews, are factored in. And sales going forward tend to depend upon those factors. And so far the book Melania is getting reviews that pretty much reflect the reviews that the person herself has gotten. This is straight off of Google at 1:00 p.m. PDT today.

So the book price has dropped 30%. Okay, that’s headed to the clearance rack, it looks like.

And of course there are the five-star ratings, that Melania is a treasure and Trump is a treasure and it’s all so wonderful and grand. What will happen from here, if this book goes the way of Kristi Noem’s book, that eventually Amazon will shut down the reviews. And they will cut the price of the book even further.
It was expected that this would be a flash in the pan. Melania teased a number of the *exciting* tidbits, like defending her nude modeling. And no, I don’t know if there are any nude photos of Melania in the book. But whatever was teased, it appears that the overall product is simply not that exciting.
The brief scandal that blew up over Melania asking CNN for $250,000 to come on the network and pimp her book (which was immediately denied) hasn’t helped the credibility of this opus.
The biography was done for money. That much is clear. Not everybody who does a biography does it for money. Bill Clinton was actually enamored of the events of his life and wanted to share them. To be truthful, I didn’t finish reading Clinton’s biography because it was way too detailed. I think it was a book that would have been vastly improved by chopping out about 150 pages, if not more.
But at least the right sentiment was there, to chronical interesting times — at least times that the biographer, Bill Clinton, found captivating because they were his life — and many of those times affected the rest of us. Melania, on the other hand, is interested in only one thing, money. That’s the Trump credo. If you translate “pursuit of profit” into Latin, it is “Studium Lucri.” We should put that on the Drumf coat of arms, as the family motto.
That’s how Trump perceives the world, if you can spend it, fuck it, eat it, or kill it, that’s his entire grasp of interpersonal relationships, with flora, fauna, inanimate objects and people. Yet, we are told that this clown is “within a whisker” of taking back the White House. My Gawd.

She is a very dull woman. No dynamic to her at all. Just a bridal call girl.
“bridal call girl.”
Excellent summation.
Sure, money was a factor but given the release date I’d say the election was more of a factor. The campaign team should have thought this one through because her lack of writing/speaking ability is very well known so if she had anything at all to do with writing this book it was going to be a loser. I expect the campaign team and losers like cue-ball miller gave the 5-star reviews.
OMG – “cue-ball miller…” That’s the funniest thing I’ve read all day. Thanks Spike.
This non-indelible tome of hers, has apparently sprang from her accurate recall and honed quill. Alas, it will duck dive to only swim like a stone.
‘Bring me moose and squirrel!’ didnt cover it?
She teased the nude modeling stuff to pump up sales. Advance ones at least. I have no intention of looking through that sorry ass excuse for a book myself but if there aren’t any pictures, specifically nude ones that book will be headed for the clearance rack and soon. If there aren’t any such pics in the book word will race around the sites where MAGA guys and INCEL types hang out – complaints along the lines of “she didn’t even show tit!” so none of them will buy it. They’ll spend their money on Trump crap instead.
The Trump family is well.beyond pursuit of profit. They now have taken the Detention Rules of Acquisition the first of which is “Once you have their money, you never give it back.” That explains Truth Social and his supposed campaign fund.
