Cyberbullying is a form, that if Donald Trump didn’t invent, he has nevertheless perfected. His tweet a few days ago about his former aide, Omarosa, is the piece de resistance of bullying tweets.

At least Melania will have no lack of material to use when she speaks next week in Rockville, Maryland. Associated Press:

The White House says the first lady will deliver remarks “addressing the positive and negative effects of social media on youth.” She’ll also attend a panel discussion with representatives from various social media platforms participating in the Federal Partners in Bullying Prevention Cyberbullying Prevention Summit, which is being held Monday in Rockville.

Mrs. Trump has been criticized for highlighting cyberbullying while President Donald Trump regularly uses Twitter to berate his foes and call them names.

“Dog” is one of Trump’s favorite epithets to hurl at enemies. Newsweek:

The president has called not only Manigault Newman a “dog,” but likened more than a half-dozen others to canines including former FBI Director James Comey, former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and former Republican nominee Mitt Romney.

Melania Trump’s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Newsweek on Thursday regarding the timing of her summit plans.

Grisham earlier this month tweeted, “#BeBest is a sincere campaign meant to help children. Not something for @CNN to use to mock @POTUS.”

Supposedly Melania uses her wardrobe to make trolling statements to her husband and maybe the timing of this summit is just one more example of that. Or, alternatively, maybe Melania is as boorish and oblivious as Donald. In any event, tone deaf or not, she’s speaking at the summit. Maybe she can employ some of her bullying remedies at home over the weekend, ya think?
