One step forward, two steps back. Nancy Pelosi’s House Select Committee on the January 6 riot has suffered a set back, if you can call Kevin McCarthy pulling all of the Republicans off the committee that. It is vintage Republican obstructionism. Pelosi vetoed Jim Banks and Jim Jordan, due to their extremist views and that was reasonably foreseeable, but McCarthy decided to appoint them anyway. Politico:
“I must reject the recommendations of Representatives Banks and Jordan to the Select Committee,” Pelosi said in a statement. “The unprecedented nature of January 6th demands this unprecedented decision.”
Another Republican, freshman Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas), also voted not to certify Biden’s win, but Pelosi said she would is “prepared to appoint” Nehls as well as Reps. Rodney Davis (R-Ill.) and Kelly Armstrong (R-N.D.), both of whom voted to certify the election.
“We need a comprehensive investigation as to who organized this attack, who paid for it, how they nearly succeeded in overthrowing a presidential election, why they did it and how we must organize ourselves to prevent anything like it from ever happening again,” reads Pelosi’s statement.
It’s not known at this moment if McCarthy is attempting to remove Liz Cheney as well. That could prove problematic.
Nancy should establish another House Select Committee to investigate corruption and anti-Aerican activity within the current Repugnican House and Senate membership.

Banks was the REAL ringer McCarthy was trying to put on the committee. Taking him out with Jordan must have been a shock to him.

They’re going to scream “witch hunt” no matter what.
No matter what they say, every time the camera is on Liz Cheney, it will have a ‘R’ next to her name. No one to gaslight for baby huey? Better stock him up with snacks, burgers & cokes. It’s going to be a bumpy ride for baby. They may want to get some reruns of his favorite sitcoms to keep him away from the tv. Tantrums are on the horizon.
