When even a pretty solidly known Fox reporter rips on ICE and by extension Trump maybe it’s time they toned down their antics. Nah, with Stephen Miller banging his drum Trump won’t lift a finger. ICE will, instead of going out into say gang neighborhoods looking for “illegals”, actual criminals instead hang out in courthouses and arrest regular folks just there for regular stuff. HIDING behind their effing masks of course. Such was the case when they arrested an Afghan who repeatedly risked his life working with our troops over there, and therefore put his family’s life at risk. HE showed courage and true service to the United States, unlike the masked pu$$ies (yeah, I used a politically incorrect term – deal with it) who hauled him away.
As this article from Mediate indicates even at Fox News there’s a ‘Hey ICE, what the f**k is wrong with you?’ reaction to this:
Fox News national security correspondent Jennifer Griffin has publicly condemned the ICE arrest of an Afghan national who served as an interpreter for American troops.
“This should anger every American,” Griffin posted on X in response to the story.
A response to her tweet sums things up perfectly:
This guy HELPED OUR TROOPS. He hasn’t broken a single law. He was doing everything “right” to seek asylum. And yet ICE threw him in detention anyway, with the goal of handing him to the Taliban. This outrageous behavior by ICE is why people are accompanying immigrants to court.
I’m sure there are ICE agents who spent time in the armed forces and even served in combat but the bulk of them are bullies with badges as has always been the case. Regarding masks (and don’t forget how they FOUGHT wearing masks during Covid) DHS put out mealy-mouthed justifications, talking about them being ‘threatened.’ Well, in a way they were right in that their reputations in their neighborhoods, churches, places like bars or restaurants they visit and even with their kids and other families was under threat! I’m sure ‘How can you do such cruel things daddy?’ stung and more than a little bit!
No, I say they wear those masks because they are ASHAMED of what they do for a living. Most of them get their rocks off being bullies with badges, and want their paychecks, benefits and eventually pensions. For spending their days/careers being assholes. Picking on, even PUNCHING (literally) down on people who can’t fight back.
Every day we see new stories about someone who has been trying to play by the rules showing up for an immigration court hearing or interview at some office. Having been summoned there. If they DON’T show that’s it. They get put on the list for deportation and when found can be whisked right out of the country in many cases before family/lawyers can find out where they were taken to for ‘processing.’ Anyone who has even the most minor of glitches in their paperwork, or who say years or even decades ago overstayed a Visa but wound up getting a green card is fair game.
Now we have man who helped save American lives in Afghanistan, risking his own and his family’s in the process. He entered this country LEGALLY as the linked article explained, and went to court for what he thought would be a routine step in the process of gaining asylum status. Like happened with his brother in Texas last month. Instead govt. lawyers attempted to have his asylum case dismissed – so they could THEN file a deportation order.
The judge didn’t grant the government’s motion but that wasn’t going to stop the ‘brave’ ICE agents from slapping cuffs on this brave man WHO HELPED US for years and hauling him away. Everyone knows the fate that awaits him if he’s returned to Afghanistan. Those ‘Billy-Bad-Ass” ICE agents, at the urge of hateful and clueless idiots life Stephen Miller have and are continuing to do incalculable damage to our national security. Think about it.
When in hostile places our troops needs intelligence. Often we need to find locals that can be trusted to serve as interpreters to learn even basic stuff they need to know. Such people provide that help at great personal risk and if they have families they are at risk too. Often there’s a promise of a safe reward via a life in the U.S. down the road. Now? Why would anyone in far flung places risk helping us? But Miller and others have a quota that by god will be met. Kind of ironic how they are so against other quotas but that’s a separate thing.
The plain fact is this is not just wrong but despicable. AND harmful to our national security. Which describes Trump and his administration to a T.

I don’t know why, but this one kicked me in the gut and did so HARD. I’m sitting here trying not to cry. This is *beyond* “I can’t even”. I absolutely have no words about this I haven’t used thus far. What a f*cking travesty.
Don’t cry…fight back with words, or whatever works…don’t wallow in sadness…stir up your fighting spirit…these nazi child destroyers have to be stopped. Giving up or giving in is not an option.
