This guy is not only having a bad day – his troubles go further than that. And like most religious idiots, he didn’t ever think about something not going his way. Well, they continue. From MSNBC via Raw Story:

Embattled Oklahoma State Superintendent Ryan Walters’ effort to quash dissent on his plans to enact Christian and pro-Trump content into state schools’ curriculum was slapped down Friday by a Trump-appointed judge. “Walters has pushed to convert Oklahoma’s public schools into hubs of right-wing religious indoctrination, through controversies such as his promotion of Bible-infused lesson plans and his attempt to require that schools show students a propaganda video of him praying for Donald Trump and attacking liberals,” wrote MSNBC reporter Ja’han Jones.

Really now. That’s excessive. Even with MAGA support, that’s excessive. Well, okay, it’s excessive to me. He should join Moms For Liberty, even if he’s a male because he’d fit right in. Pious and stupid are the words that come to mind for that organization. And, of course, excessive. Yea, I‘m overusing that word.

In an effort to halt Walters’ religious transformation of Oklahoma schools, the Freedom From Religion Foundation, a nonprofit organization that advocates for the separation of church and state, sent letters to Oklahoma school districts warning of the potential impacts of the direction Walters was taking public education in the state. Walters promptly sued the organization, claiming it had “interfered” with his and other education officials’ ability to function, but was shut down Friday after U.S. District Court Judge John Heil issued a scathing ruling.

How in the heck could something like that interfere? He uses words; they used words. He made free of his opinion, and they did too. So what? It’s all words. You can choose to read them or ignore them. You can choose to believe them or not. It’s words.

“How do Defendant’s letters interfere with Plaintiffs’ authority or ability to administer Oklahoma’s public schools?” the ruling reads. “In what way are Plaintiffs precluded from administering Oklahoma’s public schools because of Defendant’s letters? The Complaint does not answer these questions… plaintiffs’ generalized statement of injury is nothing more than conjecture.”

WHAM. Yes, indeed. Conjecture. Mr. Walters probably thought he could get some easy money. Boy, was he wrong! Now, the judge didn’t tell him to stop with his excessive religious preaching. He simply noted that there’s no basis for the suit. Mr. Walters can continue to say what he wants – after he survives the investigation for viewing pornography in his office on a state computer. Good times!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, with the exception of one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to keep going in our quest to tell the truth about Trump and see democracy survive. If you can help, please do. Thanks. Ursula

  1. And there it is, ‘after he survives the investigation for viewing pornography in his office on a state computer.’

    The party of pious religion.

    The Party of Family Values™

When did watching porn become a family value?

If they didn’t have hypocrisy they’d have no moral values at all.
