Mike Lindell lost the the GOP primary for Governor of Minnesota. Even with Trump’s endorsement I’m surprised at how many votes he got but in the end he lost by double digits. To absolutely no one’s surprise Lindell today still refuses to concede, citing ‘anomalies’ with the votes. Winner and nominee Lisa Demuth got 43.4% of the vote and Lindell came in second with 32.5 – an eleven percent margin. I don’t know about you but that margin means if Lindell is right that’s one helluva lot of ‘anomalies!’
Alas this is after all Mike Lindell we’re talking about and we long ago learned he exists in a universe where reality doesn’t seem to exist. Kind of like his pal Trump who just makes stuff up and despite all evidence to the contrary insists it’s true. As The Independent reports, Lindell intends to again go tilting at the election ‘fraud’ windmills. This one could be fun because unlike his idiotic quest on Trump’s behalf Lindell was (soundly) beaten not by a Democrat but by a fellow Republican. Of course since the state has Democratic leadership it’s a safe bet he will create a brand new conspiracy theory about how Democrats were afraid to run against HIM and engineered Demuth’s primary win. It will be interesting to see how she (and the GOP establishment) reacts to that one!
What matters is Lindell lost and won’t accept that he lost. So far Trump doesn’t seem to have weighed in but if he does, if he gets butt-hurt over a candidate (and a well-known one) he endorsed losing it could be a national story. With legs. Not at all what the GOP in Minnesota or around the country needs. But for now, today Lindell is ramping up for another clown show with him as the ringmaster:
“We’ve got different teams, right now. I’ve been on the phone with three of them and the one person said, ‘Yes, we’ve seen a couple of anomalies,'” Lindell said.
Lindell, 65 did not elaborate on the s-called “anomalies” in the election and dismised the marging between himself and demuth.
“You guys, when I’m favored by nine, three days ago, there’s something you got to look into,” Lindell said, referring to a public poll that indicated Lindell was leading the gubernatorial primary.
Teams. Anomalies. A Poll (probably an internal one or an outlier done by someone who made sure it skewed his way). Yep, Mikey is clearing his throat to give us all another round of his not so greatest hits. Again, I can’t imagine any of his fellow Republicans in Minnesota and elsewhere are happy about this. They probably cringed when he decided to run in the first place. Now that he’s lost they just want him to STFU and go away. At least until after the midterms.
I’m equally sure they hope Trumpty will ignore the matter. It’s worth noting that when Trump endorsed Lindell he called him “SPECTACULAR” (yes, Trump put it in all caps) and even tried to give him a boost yesterday morning, urging Minnesotans to vote for Lindell. As the linked article notes the establishment in the state didn’t feel the same way. Concerns about electability in a general election for one thing. And Lindell spent the last year living in TEXAS for crissakes. He didn’t even register to vote in Minnesota again election day. Yes, that’s allowed under the law there.
Well, have a bit of fun and read the linked article. And while I don’t care for the equivalent of nails screeching on a blackboard let’s hope Lindell makes a fool of himself and his Party again. Last night he seemed like his old self ranting:

A steady diet of this will Democrats in more places than Minnesota!

Your “… Alas this is after all Mike Lindell we’re talking about … he exists in a universe where reality doesn’t seem to exist … despite all evidence to the contrary …” In sum, the arse end of a rotten pineapple has more integrity and credibality than this specimen of a dropped fruitcake, preserved in it’s own self sustaining echo chamber.
