One thing is for sure and that’s that the people who have ended up doing time in the slammer or otherwise having their lives upended and/or destroyed, are under no illusions about who or what Donald Trump is. MAGA believes that his cracks about being a dictator for one day are funny. They won’t think it’s funny when they’re living under a dictatorship, but you can’t convince them of that. That’s the tragedy of MAGA. The rest of us are saving them from themselves and saving democracy, but they don’t believe that. They think the yous and mes are the problem. Trump is the only problem and we are the solution.

It’s good that Lev Parnas is now on the right side of the political situation in this country. Prison has a way of clarifying these things, I would imagine. Unfortunately, for the people you’re about to see now, there is no clarification possible. These are the hard core MAGAs, the true lost souls.
I want to weep when I see this, but logically, in a country of 330 million people, there are going to be a few crazies. And if it was only a few, that would be one thing. 73,000,000 people voted for Trump in 2020. That is the statistic that haunts my dreams.
And yes, 81,000,000 voted for Joe Biden. That is a ray of hope and a testament to American pragmatism and sanity.
And what will happen in 2024? One thing I can tell you, voters will be influenced by people like this guy, who is whitewashing and normalizing the Trump Organization fraud case.

And it makes sense that Rove is now making sense. We stopped being about Democrats v. Republicans when Trump came on the scene. Then the paradigm switched to Americans v. Trump. And that’s how it will stay until somehow the orange pustulant tumor is excised from our body politic.
