The ways of QAnon are disturbed and frequently people don’t even bother to keep up on their latest ravings because they’re so silly. But there is a good reason to pay attention to the latest rant that we’re going to talk about here. Just as Vladimir Putin has gained a lot of right-wing support in America against Ukraine, it’s entirely possible that China may gain the same support if this particular conspiracy theory flies. That’s the problem. The silliness of QAnon could be dismissed if it wasn’t for the fact that malevolent actors in other countries, who do not have the United States’ best interest at heart, are using the QAnon cult and the right-wing to their advantage and as part of their propaganda scheme. That’s why this is important.

That’s where this is going is to a pro-China QAnon and right-wing sect. We already have the pro-Russia one going full blast.

Here’s the back story. VICE News:

The Ukrainian “chy-na” is in fact just part of the name of what appears to be a village on the outskirts of Lviv. In Ukrainian, it is called “Шпильчина,” but on Google Maps, it is referred to as “Shpyl’chyna.” Unfortunately, this is a bad transliteration: The ‘y’ is meant to represent a very soft ‘i’ sound that’s hard to transliterate, because it’s rarely used in English.

Also, in Ukrainian, the word term “chy-na” on its own has several meanings. One of them is “price,” but it can also mean “rank” and “tire,” which don’t fit quite as neatly into QAnon’s conspiracy theory.

To the uninitiated, this conspiracy would seem ludicrous – because it is – but consider the toxic cesspool where it’s being shared.

QAnon believes that the war in Ukraine is not in fact a war at all, but that Trump is working in secret with Russian President Vladimir Putin to expose a network of biolabs that are being used to develop chemical weapons—that may be transported to Russia by birds. This sweeping conspiracy isn’t only taking hold in QAnon forums; it’s being boosted by right-wing figures in the US, including Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

The theory is pure bat guano but that does not mean that enterprising scam artists won’t capitalize on it to push their own narrative and manipulate people that can be manipulated. If the election of Donald Trump taught us anything, it is that perception is far more valuable than reality and that form frequently triumphs over substance. We are talking about the war on truth here and living in a post-truth society. This is happening right here and now. It’s not dystopian sci fi anymore, it’s the actual political landscape of 2022.

Where this leaves us now is that we are in the trial balloon stage. There are always twin narratives of reality going on. You know the real world narrative coming out of the White House and being reported by our allies. This is the dual narrative, the world of the Deep State, shadow government, Illuminati, etc. And make no mistake, it is just as real in its own way, meaning that people do buy the lies and they act accordingly.

74 million people voted for lies in 2020. They voted against their own best interests, not knowing that they did so. 74 million people voted for Trump. It really is as simple as that. It’s a shame that the stakes are so massive, but they are.

  1. when has the orange shit-gibbon EVER done ANYTHING in secret? I mean seriously that is the most unbelievable bit out of that whole thing…and it’s all extraordinarily (as usual) unlikely. I’m trying to figure out how they’re getting their rubes to believe THAT.
