Here we go again, Propaganda 101. This time it is delivered by none other than that SWAT team recipient and frequent flyer on government jets, Alexis Wilkins. Wilkins has evidently decided to become a political pundit and maybe this is her maiden voyage into that realm. It is a classic right-wing spin: 1. Take something that happened in the news; 2. Link it to some other news story of controversy; 3. Reach an asinine conclusion based on insane analysis. 4. Rinse and repeat.

Wilkins’ tweet starts out with her saying, “While everyone on X is fighting the left is still attacking people who wear the uniform.” Nobody is attacking anybody who wears a uniform. Au contraire. Mark Kelly is being attacked for saying that it is wrong to follow an illegal order and that is settled law. That’s what the Nuremberg Trials were about. That’s what was determined after the My Lai massacre in Vietnam in 1968. All that Kelly was doing was reciting was is known and now his words, and his video, have been twisted as an “attack” on the military and a call to extremists to do harm to the military.

Sheer madness. But this is what we see every single day. Maybe Patel and Wilkins are a perfect pair. Neither one of them seems able to get the facts straight. And both love rhetoric.
