Rapper Kanye West met with Donald Trump in the Oval Office Thursday and launched into an expletive laden rant wherein he referred to himself as a “motherfu****” and said his words were, “from the soul. I just channeled it,” and “male energy” issues led him to vote for Trump. NBC News:
Sporting a red “Make America Great Again” cap, West said Trump made him feel manly, and that’s why he supported the Republican businessman over Democrat Hillary Clinton in 2016.
“You know they tried to scare me to not wear this hat. My own friends. But this hat, it gives me power in a way,” he said, later comparing it to a “Superman cape.”
West spoke of his family, noting that “my dad and my mom separated so I did not have a lot of male energy in my home and also I married into a family where, you know, there’s not a lot of male energy. It’s beautiful though.”
If Trump is West’s role model for masculinity, may God help the poor son of a bitch. He went on to talk about the campaign.
“I love Hillary. I love everyone, but the campaign ‘I’m with her’ just didn’t make me feel — as a guy … it was something about this hat that made me feel like Superman,” famed musician Kanye West said of his MAGA hat while discussing masculinity, the economy and his brand pic.twitter.com/T06Z5tOSIU

#BlackTwitter offered it’s perspective.
I’m not sure what “love” means as he’s using it here. And his support of Trump because Hillary didn’t make him feel strong is gross. pic.twitter.com/DOXZyq2gSa

Politics aside, 2 things are clear:
1) Kanye is not well.
2) He’s surrounded himself with people who are happily exploiting him instead of supporting/helping him.
He’s grown & responsible for his own actions, but just on a basic human level, this is so sad to watch.

imagine being donda up in heaven watching your son sit with kanye west saying he didn't have enough "male energy" in the home and that's why he's wearing a maga hat
imagine being his wife and the mother of his three daughters and him joking your family doesn't have "male energy" https://t.co/cEuYAxojIs

i don't know a single black person who actually lives in chicago that regularly says the phrase "chi-raq" also i don't know a single black person who is voting for democrats because of welfare
so kanye is just repeating right wing talking points at the white house in a maga hat https://t.co/AMLGh4NHB9

Dear trump supporters: Kanye is playing you the same way he’s playing us. Trust. Also, trump’s playing you the same way he’s playing us, but we can get back to dealing with that after we settle this whole Kanye thing.

I hope for West’s sake that he finds somebody as a role model who is a real man, and not a puffed up insecure orange rooster, strutting and fretting his hour upon the stage of American history, to our everlasting shame.
