There’s a new dimension to this race now, the soon to be post-presidential Joe Biden. Biden, who has described himself in the past as “a sentimental Irishman,” is now going to unleash some Irish candor on Donald Trump Dump. I look forward to this. Kamala and Tim need a comedic Greek chorus and I think that our current sitting president will provide it. This is getting like a chess game. Kamala’s the queen piece, Tim is both knights and then some, and Joe is a bishop, gliding in from the shadows with wisecracks and insults. And Trump is playing checkers, so this ought to be a very interesting game.

I seem to recall a nursery rhyme about Donald Duck but I can’t recall it now well enough to parody it. So I’ll have to start from scratch: “Donald Dump is a fat lazy chump, in the polls he needs a bump, the upcoming election him will thump, and then what’s left will be an orange clump. And that’s the saga of Donald Dump.” If it wouldn’t break my titanium hip, believe me, I’d get a jump rope and start jumping and chanting. Hey, maybe some rapper could pick it up, eh what?

Now this will amuse you. Raw Story ran a piece “Ethnic Stereotype Left Trump Convinced Biden Would Never Drop Out.”

Trump’s supporters were shocked that Biden chose to abide the calls from his own party that he step aside from the election after a disastrous debate performance raised concerns about his age, according to the report.

The reasoning was reportedly based on an old ethnic stereotype.

“More than anything,” Alberta writes, “Trump’s allies believed that the president’s stubborn Irish ego wouldn’t let him back out of a fight with a man he despised.”

I didn’t know that there was an Irish stereotype for being stubborn. I thought the only stereotype was that we were all drunks (my last name is not Faw, I’m as Irish as paddy’s pig) so I was surprised to read this. But Tim Alberta is an excellent writer and a top political analyst. If he says that somebody in the Trump campaign made that kind of a racist crack, it certainly does not surprise me.

One thing is for dead certain: Joe Biden stunned Trump when he stepped down. He stunned, shocked and amazed him. We’ve seen enough evidence of Trump’s reaction to know that. And Trump has been wish casting that Biden will come back on the ticket. The entire campaign was geared towards trashing Joe’s age. And Joe has slowed down. Yes. He’s not the sharp, on his toes, able to reel off facts guy that he once used to be. And that’s bad in a presidential candidate because let’s face it, PR is a lot of what the job is. It’s a shame that it’s that way, but that is the way it is.

But what Joe does have to bring to the party is a kind of bone honesty about Trump and let’s face it, Joe has nothing to lose by telling it like it is. And consider this: Trump is self-immolating on all other levels. The inclusion of J.D. Vance on the ticket was a terrible idea. But he’s stuck now. And Trump is not campaigning. When he gets up in front of an audience he rambles nonsensically. Here’s today’s bill of fare.

I’ve combed the internet and nobody seems to know what the coffee and cereal containers are about. Maybe it has something to do with covfefe. If you can find it, let me know. It’s all part of the arcana of the MAGA personality cult and their charismatic mad leader, Donald Dump. I would say Trump would lead his followers to the kool-aide vat but if he does that he can’t get their money.

  1. Regarding ‘stubborn’ we have a LOT of words with various meanings for ‘stubborn (they range from a very nasty form to a complimentary form) but the one you may be looking for would be ‘do-ghluaiste’ – stubborn, unshakable, hard to move, indocile.
Pronunciation – sort of doe-ghloo-isht-ih with the ‘gh’ being a soft guttural

Gluais is a word relevant to moving – gluaistean – a car, gluaiseacht – a movement (usually political), gluais-rothar – a motor bike and ‘do’ is a prefix similar to ‘un’ in English

  2. Just a minor nitpick but “Irish” hasn’t been thought of as a “race” since the late 19th century. So the stereotype is ethnic in nature. (Granted, there can be some overlap between “ethnic” and “racial” stereotyping–the notion that Black people enjoy a good menthol cigarette after a meal of fried chicken and watermelon is ethnic and racial in terms of stereotyping–but, generally, a “racial” stereotype deals with the stereotyped person being of a different skin tone than the person making the comment. Let’s note, too, the “racial” stereotype can work the other way as well. The “Karen” phenomenon, for instance, began largely because “Karen” is perceived as a “white name.”)

    • Maybe that is so in the US of A, but I’m definitely Irish (born and raised and still annoying people in Ireland)

ps – the leipreachán made me do it

  3. I think all the food on display was to demonstrate inflation and, of course, blame it on Biden. AS IF tRump ever bought groceries in his life. It’ll be nice whenever Biden is able to let loose verbally on traitor tot.

    • I forgot to mention that “we’re going to be friendly with Iran, I hope” is NOT FOREIGN POLICY.
I hope the people listening to him realize how clueless he is.

  4. AND DONT forget you can HARASS Donald Dump alll over the country via the work that
Claude Taylor does for us in setting up billboards.
He has an X account but is getting too famous so you can’t search for it now without being
very crafty. That is his header if you reach it.
BUT KNOW you can donate for more billboards via his website maddogpac.com
