This is a minor flap in the blogosphere, but it’s worth noting because it shows you how GOPers will lie about anything and everything, even when there is zero reason to do so. Yesterday, the to do was that a reporter named Lauren Windsor said that Jim Jordan told her that Donald Trump was absolutely running in 2024 and would make that announcement himself in a few days. Jordan’s office was called for confirmation and he denied the comment. Windsor said one of us is lying and she produced corroborative evidence.

Let him announce. I fervently believe that he won’t announce soon because the minute he does the campaign finance laws limit what his PAC can grift and all the money goes under the auspices of his re-election campaign and those rules apply. So unless I miss my guess or there’s something else going on, I don’t see him announcing soon. In fact, I’m not sure I see him announcing ever, what with the Manhattan D.A. and the attorney general of New York busy with their cases. But I absolutely do not see him announcing soon.
This is what Jim Jordan gets for playing big shot and showing off what an insider he is. Trump is going to make Jim, excuse me Gym, sit in the corner with a tin foil dunce cap on for this one.
And here’s an interesting point to kick around: you remember how Jordan famously claimed he just couldn’t remember all of his conversations with Trump? Well, maybe somebody will refresh his recollection with this tape. Good to know your memory’s coming back, Jim. We are so glad. Now tell us what Donald said on January 6.
Yep, that’s what I say. Trumps got the perfect gig. He goes and massages some big money donors about 2024. They fall all over themselves pulling out their check books. No work involved. Trump doing what he does best. Running his mouth. He ain’t going to muck that up. And Jordan is like a used prophylactic, trump gives him a hint knowing the little weasel going to talk. Gives the rubes their little insight to their tin god. Oh he told Jordan he’s running must be true. Where’s my checkbook.
