It hasn’t been much of a Thanksgiving this year. Of the handful of things I gave thanks for most were for less than positive reasons. Such as being thankful I never had kids given what’s become of our country. Stuff like that. However, tonight there is something truly good, something righteous and just to be thankful for. President Joe Biden took an action that is RIGHT to its very core. He pardoned his son Hunter.
Sure, the outcry from the RWNJ types and their ‘news” echo chamber will be huge. Let them scream. Especially Trump. So what? Personally I have zero f**ks to give about their “outrage” and neither should you. The fact is that had he not been Joe Biden’s son, and a weapon to be used against our President he’d have never gone to trial. The gun charge he was convicted for is never used unless the gun was used in some other crime. Hunter Biden’s gun got thrown away. If charged at all it would have been pled out at a misdemeanor level. And the tax charges? Hunter settled all that with the IRS years ago in civil proceedings which is where virtually all such things involving that kind of money and issues are dealt with. He paid the taxes the court ruled he owed and interest/penalties. Case closed.
Well, it was case closed until the GOP decided the shenanigans started way back in 2015/16 to keep Joe Biden from running for President got revived. Keep in mind why Team Trump and other GOPers went after Hunter with such ferocity. Hunter had an addiction problem and has struggled mightily at times. He was then in fact. The HOPE on Trump’s and the GOP’s part was he’d wind up so depressed he’d kill himself. Everyone saw the grief Joe Biden experienced when his oldest son Beau died. They knew damn well that if Hunter ‘broke” and committed suicide that would be the end of Joe Biden’s public life.
Make no mistake. The goal all along has been to drive Hunter Biden to commit suicide to “get” his father. Anyone on the conservative side who says otherwise is a goddamned LIAR! The relentless prosecution of Hunter Biden was nothing more than using him as a political weapon against his father. Period. And again, anyone in the GOP who says different is a f**king LIAR! So let them howl at the moon.
For me this isn’t merely good news. It’s great news. President Biden just might be out of f**ks to give at this point and might well have some more surprises in store. Surprises that will set Trump and the GOP off far more than this. For the moment though I’ll take this news and rejoice in it. You should too. It will be a big story tomorrow, but with the news about Patel maybe taking over the FBI and the Hegseth stuff it will be one of several. Let’s look for steps to take the teeth out of Trump’s “go after enemies” list: Jack Smith first and on and on. With SC granted immunity for his Presidential actions, the President can do a lot of defanging. That said, I have worries that it leads to tit for tat by each President and, more fundamentally, the most regal and non-Constitutional action in the Constitution becomes a central tool in every presidency. Needs getting rid of!
It’s ONE pardon of a person everyone can see has been unfairly targeted purely because he’s the son of his father. Everyone can also see the Trump children NOT being targeted even though they have, by their own actions, painted huge bullseyes on themselves.

I’m betting that when orange turd said he might pardon Hunter, it was purely for the thrill of having his maggot base go nuts and scream for blood. I’m also convinced that if Biden hadn’t pardoned Hunter, the orange turd army of incompetents that will “lead” us (into hell) would use Hunter as an example of what they’ll do to anyone they don’t like and re-try him and find him guilty of all kinds of made up BS.
