We’ve seen a lot of people cross swords in the Era of Trump but for some reason Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez seems to really get under MAGA skin. She was openly harassed on the Capitol steps years ago by a right-wing *comedian* who made jokes about her “booty.” Now we have Tom Homan, (who is the mouthpiece for an ugly anti-immigration reality TV show, which is what his televised raids with talk show hosts like Dr. Phil riding along are,) particularly up in arms over AOC. But Homan has taken it too far. He is actually asking the Department of Justice if AOC can be prosecuted for telling people their basic rights, such as the right to remain silent, the right to an attorney, all of that. Homan is positively incensed that she’s doing that. And of course Elon Musk had to chip in his two cents, to get things rolling.
The REAL reason so many Democrats are upset about entitlements (social security, medical, etc) fraud investigations is that they are using your taxpayer money as handouts to attract and retain ILLEGAL immigrants. Their future voters.

That is the lie, the central dogma undergirding the racism in this country. That’s why MAGA loves Trump, is because he’s going to save them from the POCs that they so despise and who are getting all kinds of free money, according to right-wing legend. Who gets free money in this country? Even people who got student loans paid them back and it’s well known that whatever you paid into Social Security is worth less now than when you paid into it, due to inflation. Yet none of these realities keep the right-wing haters from claiming that the Democrats are positively shoveling cash, housing and benefits galore at illegal immigrants.
Here is Tom Homan’s latest hate fest against AOC and good luck with this one. Homan proposes that a member of Congress be investigated for informing people of their constitutional rights. If there was ever a non lawsuit, that’s it.
This is why you fight these cowards.

Wait all you want, Tom. I hope you’ve got a comfortable place to sit while you wait. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a lawmaker, or anybody for that matter, informing a group of people what their legal rights are under the Constitution. That is such a non starter that it blows my mind that Homan even wastes his time and his breath on it, but that’s where we are in this country.
And what’s truly comical is that Homan says “take action” — WHAT action? Is he going to sue AOC civilly? On what grounds? And as for criminal action, oh puhleeeze. This is all showmanship for Fox News. That’s what this is. The big tough white man is going to tell the little Hispanic girl who’s who and what’s what. AOC wrote on X, “Maybe [Homan] can learn to read. The Constitution would be a good place to start.”

Donald Trump has promised mass deportations of undocumented immigrants and as many as 1,500 ICE arrests per day. This month, the administration is falling far short of that target, with fewer than 600 ICE arrests in the first 13 days.
Homan said he is “not happy with the numbers” and complained that it is “hard” to locate undocumented immigrants, especially when, he claims, “Sanctuary cities are causing us a lot of work.”
“It is hard because, rather than one man arresting one bad guy in the jail, we have got to send whole teams to the field to find someone that doesn’t want to be found,” he said. “And so it’s hard work, but we’re not giving up.”
It’s especially hard work when you need to create big drama for the cameras. But Homan is giving it his all. He knows Donald wants him to deliver ratings and so far this *show* is a non starter.
