This really isn’t all that complicated, nor should it be. As a matter of fact, as the Geico commercials used to say, it’s so simple, even a caveman can do it. Which means that nobody in the GOP will have a clue as to what the fuck is going on.
In the real world, there are already Democratic aligned Super PAC’s and PAC’s up and running out there, and I mean up and running. I get a minimum of 2 pleas a day from the DNC for $10, and if you spend a lot of your day on CNN, MSNBC, or another national news channel, you know what I’m talking about.
There are ads from the DNC and Democratic aligned Super PAC’s thanking Biden and Harris for coming through on the Covid stimulus plan. Then there are ads focusing on all of the popular things Biden and Harris want to give them if they just hammer their representative’s and Senators asses and get them on board with the infrastructure and Family Rescue plan. This is brilliant, since it gives the Democrats all of the glory, and promises to give them more glory if they can deliver on their next big ticket items.
Now it’s time to start another ad blitz, maybe with its own aligned PAC. I’m sorry, I really am, but it’s time to turn Liz Cheney into the current day Joan d’ Arc of democracy. And yes, it has to be done.
Because right now, thanks to spineless toads like House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, the entire GOP, at least the House caucus, appears to be heading into a flat out civil war. It turns out that Wyoming at large Representative Liz Cheney has been guilty of the 8thy deadly sin. Dissing Trump? And so, she is about to be stripped of her GOP leadership post as Conference Chair next week. And why is she being stripped of her leadership role?
- Cheney admitted that Biden won the 2020 election fair and square
- She denied that there was widespread fraud in the election
- Sha called Trump’s spreading of the 2020 election having been stolen from his as The Big Lie
- She held Trump’s continued spreading of The Big Lie as having been responsible for the Capitol Hill insurrection
- And most importantly, she is calling GOP leadership for using The Big Lie to tear the party apart
Look, we cannot afford to let this opportunity slip by. And no, I’m not saying that we should carpet bomb the airwaves with this shit for the next 18 months. But there has to be a way to get a couple of strategically placed ads a day in front of viewers eyes!
You don’t have to convince the true Trombies of The Big Lie. Hell, the Pope himself can’t pull those morons out of that pit. But the simple fact of the matter is that if you don’t shamble around the Capitol rotunda with a confederate flag, or actually wear MAGA licensed gear in public, then you probably don’t like being lied to.
Don’t saturate, but keep putting ads out there with Liz Cheney speaking truth to power, with a voice over closer saying something like, Why is it that honesty is no longer allowed in the GOP, only loyalty to Trump?
We don’t need to pound it, just make sure that everybody remembers that the GOP doesn’t have an honest bone in their traitorous bodies. Joe Biden is the President of the United States for a good reason. Seven million more people nationwide thought that Trump truly sucked! As much as Biden is getting done, and providing results, the more we anchor the GOP, it’s what’s left of it to Trump, and not sanity, the easier the job gets.

It’s actually Jeanne D’Arc in the original French, Murf. And I suspect that she’s already got a plan in place that is going to keep her in place. Finally, I also suspect that the Dems/Meidas Touch/Lincoln Project are already cutting those ads you’re talking about. They just want to see how current events play out.
Well, actually, her first name was Jehanne in the original French (Jeanne is the modern French rendition). As for “D’arc,” well, in Joan’s lifetime, apostrophes weren’t used in spelling surnames so her father’s surname was probably just spelled “Darc” and that’s not even necessarily correct. Much like with William Shakespeare’s, surnames especially were spelled phonetically and her father’s surname has appeared in surviving records in NINE different ways* (William Shakespeare himself spelled his last name as “Shaksper,” “Shakspere” and “Shakspeare” in addition to abbreviated forms; the standard spelling used today only became common in the late 19th century–nearly 250 years after his death).
But, even more unusual is that, per Joan’s own testimony, girls from her area commonly used their MOTHERS’ surnames** rather than their fathers’. But, Joan herself normally used the name “la Pucelle” (the maiden) to refer to herself (that term in Modern French usually translates as “the virgin”***; Modern French tends to reserve the term “la Vierge”–also meaning “the Virgin”–to refer to the Virgin Mary as well as the zodiac sign).
*Some of the ways include “Tarc,” “Darx,” “Dart” and even “Day.”
**Joan’s mother was known by the names Isabelle Romée and Isabelle de Vouthon (her first name also appears as Ysabeau which was the more common version of the name in Medieval French).
***The male equivalent in Modern French would be “le Puceau.” (English, of course, tends to frame the word “virgin” as exclusively female but “puceau” wouldn’t be used that much more in French.)
As interesting as the last name stuff is (my own family name has a similarly complicated history, even when it was passed down between father and son), my prime focus was the fact that only Shakespeare called her Joan.
Let’s not let anyone forget what Trump and his allies were fomenting on January 6 and those who were passively or actively complicit. This was the ultimate outcome of Trump’s lies. We must never, ever have such a dishonest person in power ever again. It’s little short of a miracle that worse didn’t happen.
When the instigators are this uncoordinated, bad at planning and unable to fully utilize the element of surprise, it’s less miracle and more “you expected that to work why again?”
Joe, u & shark, once again, illustrate that the ‘truth’ about anything requires research to understand what we think we know about anything, especially human history, & to abandon the false for the best ‘truth’ we have at the moment, always challenging ourselves.
We are truly in “The Upside Down” when a Cheney is pointing out “Big Lies”.
Her father studied the politics of Goebbels when it comes to that and his still have a higher body count than Trump’s
