I guess this conclusively shows that no matter how rich, selfish, and stupid you are, redemption is always possible. Yahoo News is reporting that gazillionaire fossil fuel creep Charles Koch is instructing his political arm, Americans For Prosperity to spend untold millions on 2024 GOP opponents of former President Donald J Trump to keep him from being reelected.
Well gee, Charlie Clown, God knows I’m overjoyed that you’ve finally seen the mistakes of your misguided youth, I mean middle age, and have decided to atone. But whether you succeed or not, that cuts no cheese with me. Because it was you, and the rest of your greedy, power hungry Koch Suckers who stuck us with Traitor Tot in the first fucking place!
I’ll explain. Back in 2009, you and your Tweedledum brother David were uber pissed. Not only did this coultry suddenly have its first African American President, but he was a true progressive, and with congressional majorities that could pass legislation that would make your lives a living hell. So you took action.
You set up a bunch of dummy front companies with stalwart, traditional GOP sounding names to funnel money, and then you secretly went about the business of setting put a phony, astroturf populist movement to ignite base GOP voters. The object was to use these disparate, unconnected groups to wreak havoc on Democratic House town halls, and hopefully even elect a few faithful representatives to the House to push your agenda with the more traditional House GOP leadership. The Tea Party Rebellion had a nice patriotic ring to it.
And it worked. It worked because you had the star power of disgraced, half term Alaska Governor Caribou Barbie to shill for you. The GOP propaganda machine kicked into high gear, and Death panels for Granny made President Obama’s signature program, the Affordable Care Act toxic to Democrats in 2010.
And it worked. In fact, the 2010 midterms became known as the Tea Party wave election. Your “Secret Squirrel” shit was too effective. These Tea Party idiots actually thought that were individual entities, beholden to nobody but themselves, and their goal was to kneecap the bloated, intrusive federal government. And the 40+ Teahadists they elected felt the same dan way. I think that the Character Juno the caseworker put it perfectly in Beetlejuice when she said, You’re a real pair! First you let yourself get photographed by the living! And then you let Beetlejuice out, and didn’t put him back! Like the Dietzes, the Koch Brothers let the Tea Party out of its box, and had no power to put it back.
But here’s where the cheese binds. The Tea Party was a constant thorn in the GOP leadership’s side, even when they wanted to pass things that the Lock brothers wanted. But they seeon tired of being referred to by the sarcastic slang nicknames of Teahadists, and Teabaggers. And so, one of their first official acts was to change their official name over to, you guessed it, The Freedom Caucus.
Now follow along my friends, and you too Charles. What did the Tea Party, Freedom Caucus bring us? How about mental defectives like Sugar Daddy Matt Gaetz, Gym Bag Jordan, Andy Biggs, Paul Gosar, and Louie Gohmert. And in later years, misfit toys like Machine Gun Marjie, Fratty Maddy Cawthorn, and Lauren Boebert.
See my point? With their astroturf movement, the Koch brothers literally created the lab experiment petri dish that for six long years fed the media narrative, especially the far right media such as FUX News with a nonstop far right fire hose of racism, misogyny, xenophobia, sexism, extremism, and anti LGBTQ sludge that literally laid the table for Traitor Tot in 2016.
They. Made. It. Possible. Trump is and sincerely believes in everything that the Freedom caucus spouted for six long years. but it took their faithful work in fertilizing that ground for six years in order for him to mainstream it and make it national. They’re the ones who made such filth tolerable for enough of the base GOP for Trump to exploit it. They’re the ones who laid those bread crumbs at the entrances of those lowlife caves, and at the edges of the rocks, and got the vermin inside and underneath to stick their heads out and take a sniff. They literally made Trump possible. And their FrankenTrump creator is no one but Charles Koch.
Awww. And now poor Charlie Clown is sorry. Don’t be fooled. He’s only sorry that the Freedom caucus Lucy pulled the football away from him, and he ended up on his back. And because Charles Koch is every bit as egocentric and arrogant as The Trumpster Fire himself, he’s looking for a sacrificial lamb, and that lamb is Trump. Because he can’t bring himself to admit that his grand lab experiment was a failure. You’ll notice that AFP isn’t planning on funding or campaigning against any Freedom Caucus members, only Trump. And that tells you all you need to know about the character of the man.

I remember an article in which Charles Koch admitted “we went to far”. Yeah. no shit. This author is correct though that he has done nothing to correct it. There are so many wealthy far right family dynasties that are hell bent on White Christian Nationalist Country. The Green Family, of Hobby Lobby fame, Betsy DeVoss’s family destruction of public school agenda. The two Texas Evangelical Fire Breathing Oil Barron’s, a Texas Telecom company funding far right Mom’s of Liberty School Board Member Candidates, Ohio Fundamentalist Hilsdale College writing school course curriculums in Florida.There is a giant Fascist Eco-System of wealthy Ultra-Nationalists and politicians like Ron DeSantis and Marjory Taylor Greene hellbent on destroying this country.

they know what they’re doing, they caused most of our mess, creating the heritage foundation, after Civil rights passed, lobbying politicians to keep min wage low, up college costs, and push whatever benefitted them. They are taking advantage of Trump getting the religious right power….they want DeSantis in there next…..or ANY REPUBLICAN POSSIBLE…..keep their taxes low, keep tge oil flowing….and keep us all distracted with fighting about gays and how slavery wasn’t SOOOO BAD, and ignore anything after 1970 that was bad for minorities as well.

We have a problem in this country–we have way too many imbeciles living here. The bigger problem is we have way too many multi millionaires and billionaires. We used to have a handle on them when they were taxed appropriately. We need to get back to that taxation so these people can commit less evil on the nation, our land, our citizenry, etc.
The tax laws have created more not less billionaires and millionaires. The cannabis laws have created more prisons and prisoners, ALL political prisoners.
