Okay, there’s no way we are coming back from this one. We are in so much trouble, partly thanks to no guard rails and no coherent mind. The flip-flops are getting worse. This is not the face we want to show the world, but it is, and so much damage has been done already. We suffer. We speak out, and that means it’s not just Pz. President Donald Trump unleashed a flurry of threats, promises and ideas Sunday in a phone call with Fox News’ Trey Yingst, the details of which left one independent journalist in utter shock. The phone call occurred Sunday morning, just one day after Iranian military officials announced they would be closing the Strait of Hormuz again, citing violations of the tentative peace deal agreed to by Washington and Tehran last week. As Trump’s coveted peace deal imploded in real time, the president issued a series of threats and statements that independent journalist Aaron Rupar described as “bonkers.”
Yep. He is making a bad situation worse, which likely shreds the peace deal that people have worked so hard to achieve. We don’t know how much Vance had to do with it since he’s not exactly bright. But it seems like it was almost done, and then Hezbollah was attacked, which blew up, no pun intended, the deal. It never fails. Thanks for nothing, Bibi. He’s not the one trying to make a peace agreement. Bibi does what he pleases and to hell with everyone else.
“President Trump [told] Fox News he spoke with Iranian officials overnight and said ‘you close it and you won’t have a country,’” Yingst said on Fox News, recounting his phone call with the president that occurred just 20 minutes earlier. “He went on to tell these officials, ‘You won’t even make it back to your f—ing country.’”
You know it’s bad when Trump starts dropping F-bombs. Remember, no guard rails, and this definitely proves they are gone. How many times has he threatened Iran now? Is it 500 or 600? But the fact that he’s getting worse should be a cause for concern. Trump has nukes. Trump could very well use one or more of those nukes and make America a pariah in the world. Don’t pooh-pooh me. It could happen. It seems people aren’t able to talk him down very much anymore. That is a *major* problem. And apparently, he’s come down from the “high” of his fights on his birthday on the Ellipse. Stupid and ridiculous as it was, at least he was focused on one thing that was a big deal on HIS birthday, not the country’s 250th anniversary. He wasn’t cursing out Iran.
Trump also responded to recent comments from Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, who said that Iran would not give up its right to enrich uranium, which has a wide list of non-military applications. “President Trump [told] Fox News [Pezeshkian] better ‘watch his mouth,’ he better ‘shape up or we’ll take over the rest of the country,’” Yingst said, recalling his call with Trump. “He said ‘I have a 60-day option, and I can do whatever I want after that option,’ so again, President Trump is leaving a variety of considerations on the table.”
This is not a pleasant topic. I hope I’m doing it justice. But folks, after finding out about this, I’m now worried, not just pissed off. Trump has gone back to the threats against Iran. What happens if he actually does something this time, or a future time? And what happens if he doesn’t use “normal” weapons? It’s worth thinking about. What he does reflects on America; what the world sees as America is Trump and his shenanigans. The two are interwound. So we’d best consider that as a major factor. What Trump does is what America does.

You know who, to a point, is now sick enough to persue and tske this horrid action, simply because his fragile ego and persona want’s to be both known as, and remembered for, a legacy being: ‘I’m the biggest, and best and don’t muck with me’. He’ll try to achieve this distorted status at any cost, no matter who is to be the collateral damage. He’s nothing now but broken goods!

I’m not staff, but I visit this site several times a week. I use Malwarebytes, which has warned me on other sites. But I’ve never gotten a warning on PZ. Maybe your virus checker is responding to something else.

FYI even on days where health issues of various types (like today) keep me from being active enough to write I’m usually able to check behind the scenes multiple times a day. Clearing comments held up in the moderation queue, editing deleting stuff that involves certain content like overt threats of various sorts etc. Once or twice a month there is spam in the moderation queue. It’s usually someone hawking some product but once in a blue moon it’s porn. It immediately is deleted from the site.
We have a good tech person and speaking for myself I use both Windows Defender and Malwarebytes. I don’t have any issue with viruses popping up. Perhaps you need different anti-virus software? Or to have a tech do a deep clean of your computer.
In uncharted waters in a storm with a lunatic at the helm. What could increase the chances of a catastrophe?

Hezbollah killed four Israeli soldiers in yet another drone attack.
Israel responded.
And if Hezbollah hadn’t started killing and attacking the entire north of Israel in 2023 to take heat off HAMAS (almost certainly at the behest of Iran) after Oct 7th, then Israel wouldn’t have been in there in the first place.
This is NOT on Israel. It is ENTIRELY on Iran who is getting their Houthi, Hezbollah and Hamas proxies to do the Jew killing on their behalf.
Jew Hate is universal, but the Iranians ARE the leading protagonists and Israel would NOT be a serious country if it didn’t defend its citizens to the maximum of its ability, Trump’s whining notwithstanding!

Hezbollah, the Lebanon-based militant group backed by Iran, claimed responsibility for the attack. Hezbollah said Sunday’s attack near Binyamina was retaliation for Israel’s strike on Beirut on Thursday that killed 22 people and injured more than 100.

So, Lebanon-based Hezbollah says its attack was retaliation for Israel’s attack on Lebanon.
Susan, I would consider b’s chronology to be Israeli-biased. However, it is true that when attacks go back and forth, it is hard to say clearly who is retaliating against whom. Israel was harassing Palestinians for decades before the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023.

Anyone can compare the numbers killed on each side and everyone can see the disproportionate response from a leader who’d rather kill people than face a day in court for his corruption – and in the process drag the name of Israel into the mud, where it’s actions are equated more with Hitler and Stalin than the functioning Western Democracy it claims to be.
