Seriously now. Jordan is feeling his oats and thinks he has a way to prosecute Jack Smith for some bogus nonsense reason. It’s weak even to a total idiot like me about most law and has to go look things up. DUDE. Jack Smith was a prosecutor for *war crimes* by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in the International Criminal Court (which is where Trump and Hegseth might end up…). That’s international! And Jordan thinks he can get Mr. Smith brought up on charges? Mr. Smith knows a lot more law than Jordan does. He knows exactly what he said and when. Mr. Smith flat out said he would have gotten a conviction for Trump with the insurrection. Jordan wants to take him on? I guess Gym has to take time every so often to beat his manly chest and howl for a while to show he’s #1 in the House every so often. Or at least in his committees. Meh. Don’t make me laugh. The House Judiciary Committee is referring former Special Counsel Jack Smith for criminal prosecution, but analysts are dismissing it. On Wednesday, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) alleged that Smith “knowingly made false statements” and referred him to the Department of Justice for prosecution. Jordan, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, alleged in a letter to Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche that “strong evidence” appears to show Smith lied during a December 17 testimony.
Smith is the prosecutor who brought two now-dismissed criminal cases against Trump relating to 2020 election interference and the retention of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago. The December 17 testimony mentioned in Jordan’s letter refers to a closed-door House Judiciary deposition where Smith defended prosecuting Trump.
Oh, you guys. Jordan is going on and on about the damn phone records again. He’s just so insulted by something (since 2023 or 4) and can’t let go of it. Jack Smith is having a lot of practice rolling his eyes because of this. Was he sending dirty texts to his wife and didn’t want anyone but her to see them? Because he’s been *so* obsessive over the whole phone records thing that it’s making me look sideways at Gym. There *has* to be something behind this. And if you want to lose your appetite (or something), read that letter that was sent. Good grief.
Despite Jordan’s strongly worded criminal referral against Smith, legal analysts, journalists, and Democratic lawmakers are dismissing it. Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, slammed Jordan’s criminal referral in a public statement. Raskin was particularly upset with Jordan for faulting Smith for not volunteering National Archives and Records Administration presidential information that Republicans never asked about. “The Republicans fault Mr. Smith for not reading the minds of congressional investigators, and for not volunteering information they didn’t ask for,” Raskin wrote. “This is absurd. Mr. Smith may be telegenic, but he is not telepathic.”
Ahaha. Thank you, Rep Raskin! He always manages to come up with great things to say. That, in itself, is something. But they have been trying for years to get Mr. Smith up on some sort of charge for part of Trump’s Revenge Tour ™. Always learn something new in articles that involve Mr. Smith. Jordan thinks they can finally do it. We can bet it won’t even get to a grand jury. Blanche isn’t *that* good. On the other hand, Lindsey Halligan managed to get someone up from a grand jury with a charge, so we could be surprised. Well, except she didn’t provide some information, and that all turned into a big mess. But to haul myself back to the subject, which is Gym Jordan and Jack Smith….
The House Judiciary Committee Democrats’ X account similarly blasted the referral as “laughably weak” and “vindictive” in a post. //// CNN political analyst Xochitl Hinojosa noted, “Trump called for Jack Smith’s prosecution, so DOJ spent 20 months trying to find ANYTHING on Jack and failed,” she wrote in a post on X. “Now we’re seeing a desperate attempt to try to prosecute this longtime career prosecutor for following the facts and the law.” //// Around the time news of the referral came out, Politico legal reporter Kyle Cheney simply reposted what he wrote in 2025: “Periodic reminder that criminal referrals from Congress, other than for contempt, are substantively meaningless.”
BOOM. It didn’t work before, and it won’t work again. But as I said earlier, Blanche *might* get him up on charges, but then it will fall apart. Jordan does not understand who he is up against when he tries to do something against Mr. Smith. It’s not a good thing that Jordan has this obsession about the phone records. He has bigger things to do, which are Congress and their duties. He needs to stop obsessing over those phone records. Does he even realize he’s doing it? Well, my bet is on Mr. Smith. Jordan is not much when compared to Jack Smith.

I have no idea about Jordan’s legal credentials or qualifications (he must’ve had enough to keep his @$$ out of trouble for covering up the sexual assault of college wrestlers but, then again, I doubt it really requires much actual legal expertise or knowledge) but, for Blanche? Oh, Jack Smith has probably forgotten more about the law and how it works than Blanche ever knew. (Alternatively, Smith has more knowledge about the law in his little pinky nail than Blanche has in his entire body–actually, more than Blanche would have, after cloning himself a dozen times.)
