The New Hampshire primary has never been known for literal mudslinging, but it may get down to that before it’s all over between Nikki Haley and Donald Trump. The two are at a statistical tie right now, which is a very different situation than what you saw in Iowa, where Trump led by 30-some points.
But New Hampshire is a different kettle of fish. Trump wants to and needs to blow Haley clean out of the water. If he doesn’t, then that will serve to glaringly illuminate the schism in the Republican party which exists, and prove up just how many voters don’t want Trump on the ballot, and he doesn’t want that. Trump wants to live with the illusion that he is the undisputed king, when the fact of the matter is that he won over about half of the Iowans who showed up for the Caucus on Monday, the lowest turnout in 24 years. So New Hampshire on January 23 will be down and dirty and you can see that starting now.

What has been purely comical so far, is that both DeSantis and Haley have more ammunition against Trump than any fifty previous presidential contenders put together. All that either of them needs to do is get up and scream, “Do you want to nominate a rapist for president? Seriously? Not to mention a guy who’s under indictment in four different jurisdictions?” The copy basically writes itself IF any of these candidates had the guts to deliver it. They do not. That’s been the problem all along, is this shilly shallying on the fringes of some issues when not coming out and screaming to the heavens about the real, glaring issues.
It looks like some of that might happen now, because Haley has no prayer if she doesn’t win New Hampshire. She has no prayer anyway, but she is finished for sure at the end of next week if she doesn’t beat Trump next week.
As to DeSantis, what is known at this time is that he’s run out of money, run out of gas, and is coasting on fumes. The only question is what will he make of those facts? Is he going to ludicrously slug on and pretend that he’s a viable candidate? Remember, he was hell bent to win the Iowa caucus and that was going to be a reset, a serious relaunching of him as a candidate. When that didn’t happen, simultaneously with funding and ongoing staff problems, DeSantis reached the end of the road.
That said, I doubt that he will drop out. Remember, DeSantis is convinced that Trump won’t be able to be in the race and that he, Ron To The Rescue, needs to be there to take stage and lead the party. And it could happen. And what a screeching shitshow on skates that will be. I hope it comes down to that, a DeSantis/Biden match. That would be one for the ages. Can you imagine? As awful a candidate as DeSantis already is, as terrible a debater as he is, if he inherits the mantle of the GOP standard bearer, Joe Biden is going to make mashed potatoes out of him.
I can see it now, DeSantis whining at a debate, “You’re too old,” and then he turns on his high heel, loses his balance and falls. At least Uncle Joe isn’t trying to maneuver with stilts in his shoes and lying publicly about being half a foot taller than he is. (DeSantis has claimed to be 5’11” which is patently absurd, even with his lifts.) DeSantis is 5’5″ or 5’6″ and who cares? The man doesn’t have it wired on any of the important levels, his height is a non issue. He calls attention to it with the heels.
This primary has been a mess so far and it’s only going to get worse. If Nikki Haley wins the New Hampshire primary, take that as rock solid evidence of how difficult it’s going to be for Trump to win in the general election. And Trump may know that. Mainly, he’s trying to look good and his ego won’t let him lose, but in point of fact, if he does lose New Hampshire, that’s a harbinger of doom.
Time for my first stupid question of the new year! I know that “Nimbra” is FrankenTrump’s snarky mispronunciation of Haley’s first name, but is there anything even more repulsive about his new label for her? I feel like I’m missing something….
Her given first name is Nimarata. (Her parent’s are both Sikhs) Trump referred to her as “Nimarada” earlier this week, and I guess in a further attempt to be racist in a “LOOK AT THE BROWN WOMAN WITH THE FUNNY NAME” he’s decided to make it really obvious with the “Nimbra” pronunciation. Make sure his MAGAs know she’s “fur-en-ur”, and now with his newest Hitleresque theme of “poison blood.”
It’s vile. It’s racist. And therefore exactly what you’d expect from Trump. If Haley was still harboring any thoughts about some forgiveness from Trump and the VP slot to attract younger voters she ought to realize that ship has sailed. So she might as well go all-in, and yes to the degree Christie did. Call Trump out for what he is, a doddering old asshole and a rapist who isn’t fit to lead a circle jerk, much less the GOP and this country.
I suspect he is just getting lazier.
Haley is just another fascist. She is bragging about her illegal immigration laws she passed in South Carolina. Immigration is not even something states have jurisdiction over. Such laws are subordinate to Federal law.
She is a coward and a racist fool just like all other Republicans.

Trump has benefited from the cowardliness and or fawning of others, along with his vile vindictive thuggery. There is still a window of time to winkle out the parasitic stable genius, but time is possibly running out to banish him effectively and completely. The stain of Trump has become almost indelible. VOTE! You may not get another chance!
Does ANYONE actually think the mindless GOP nay-sayers in OUR HOUSE, our country, anywhere, could generate a viable, genuine, honest, candidate with the talent to lead our country into a more productive and stable situation where everyone is represented AND equally treated as citizens, tax payers, land owners and given equal rights to women and their own bodies, along with respect for all people, regardless of their backgrounds and ethnic ties?
ALL the sneaky bastards like the Gym Jordon, rusty Gates, crew will trundle along, supporting their sparkplugs like the blond-all-mouth and the gun moll from CO, as if their meetings are the cats’ ass, getting NOTHING useful done or accomplished, testing the limits of the Constitution and rules of law, throwing out calls to attack Democrats and ANYONE that has shown a progressive mindset … The fall of the GOP is probably sooner than anyone can see, but with Trump behind bars, the rest of us will swing all our forces to blasting criminal Republicans, BY NAME to the young wolves just out of Law schools with needs to show their stuff at a higher level … most of them have spent hours looking up past law settlements and sources for big money law firms, they are probably drooling to clean up the Congress with truth and evidence …
