In both Southern and Northern Hemispheres, we’re between Winter and Summer.  Northerners are anticipating Summer after a long, cold Winter but rain has been getting in the way of the sunshine that they’re so looking forward to. So now they find themselves waitin’ on a sunny day.

Down in the tropics of the Southern Hemisphere, we’re waiting on the advent of The Dry season (Winter) after a hot, humid and very wet Summer. So we too are waitin’ on a sunny day.

The furkids team was delighted to discover there’s a song about that exact situation! They did have another song scheduled for today but it’s been punted to a different timeslot to make way for Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band with our song for this week: “Waitin’ on a Sunny Day”. Enjoy!

A delightful man called Nils gave the furkids coins for the jukebox this week so it’s all primed and ready to go! Listen to the intro then start scrolling down when the lyrics begin — and sing along!

  1. {{{Michelle}}} I’ve got a minor spot of sun at the moment but clouds are piling up. Forecast says clouds for the foreseeable future. So this song was *just* right for today. Skritches to Ms. Loula & moar {{{HUGS}}} to you.

    • I never check the weather – not even locally unless I’m out and about – but the Furkids have an uncanny ability for knowing when it’s the right weather for a song… or should that be: the right song for the weather? ????

  2. I just love the way you find these delightful pictures and match them so well to the lyrics. Brightens up my rainy day. Thanks again.

    • If the picture I want doesn’t exist, I make it. Takes lots more time to do but so satisfying when it conveys the idea that I want and looks good too. ?

  3. Michelle, you do great at picking and creating pictures. The songs and pictures always perfectly match in a way that really grabs my feelings. You have quite a talent; thanks so much for sharing it with us (((((((Michelle))))))))).

  4. It has been a long week, so I wanted to come see the animals at the weekly zoo, LOL. Thank you for the work you put into it.

It’s raining here in Pasadena, and indeed my kitties are camped out on their heating pads dreaming of summer. They’re in for a (hopefully) pleasant surprise. Today I’m building them a cat condo. They are indoor kitties only, but I got some outdoor bamboo shelves I’m going to wrap in rabbit hutch mesh, then they’ll have a cat door to an enclosed gang plank to a special outdoor catio for them. We’ll see how training them to use that goes, LOL.

  5. Another great one, Michelle! Fantastic pics and fantastic pic edits to fit the song perfectly. I just loved it! And it’s nice to have such a joyful song today. Many thanks!
