To counter the war news, the Furkids decided to go full-on Creedance Clearwater Revival this week for pure escapism.
While I knew the song they chose, I never really knew the lyrics before the Furkids related them to me. (Okay, I admit I thought they were making most of it up until I googled it… that’s when I made the amazing discovery that they were word-purrfect this time!)
I asked them if they understood the lyrics and was told “Dat wus sum gud catnip dey had!” I decided not to pursue the subject any further as they were several little ones present.
Creating the images presented me with a number of challenges – especially the elephant! – but they’re the sort of challenges I enjoy!
A small and very select group of Furkids of the feline persuasion (ie cat burglars) provided coins for the jukebox this week. So just press play, scroll down to the illustrated lyrics and sing along!

Funny thing – I did that this morning. Even though I was constantly listening to the song while working on the images, it’s a different feel when it all comes together on the day. It’s now one of my favourite earworms too! ?????
