We need to pay attention. She is bringing information to us that is, at the least, concerning. It’s regarding military stockpiles up to this point during the Iran war. Even if the numbers being released are correct, which is doubtful, she tells us what she knows and what’s happening now. We need to listen. This is unusual. I appreciate Raw Story:

Katherine Thompson, a former senior Trump administration official at the Pentagon under Hegseth, is raising alarm bells about classified information that suggests the U.S. military faces far more serious supply challenges than the public has been told, particularly regarding critical munitions needed to counter threats from both Iran and China.

Appearing on MS NOW, Thompson was described by the host as aunicorn“—a rare Trump insider willing to publicly discuss concerns within the administration about the ongoing Iran conflict and military readiness.

Yes, this is definitely unusual. Something must really be bothering her for her to come out and talk about this. That’s a tad unnerving. A Former Trump official speaking out? Yes, we need to listen to her, especially because the war is still going, albeit with us being under a cease-fire … right now. Until someone says something stupid that starts it up again.

She said that, although people don’t like to admit it, “we are subject to scarcity” when it comes to weaponry, especially as we have Chinaon the rise.”

The host chimed in that the idea was “terrifying,” and Thompson agreed.

Thompson emphasized that critical information about U.S. military stockpiles remains hidden from public view.

“A lot of this is behind the classified curtain,” she stated, further noting that media reports have uncovered some of the issues.

Oooookay. We’ve not only gone through a lot of munitions, but it’s also eating into the stockpile for what we may need for China. It’s probably eating into what we need to protect ourselves. We absolutely have thrown a lot at Iran, with poor results. This does not give us warm, fuzzy feelings of confidence.

When discussing the severity of potential stockpile depletion, Thompson herself said the reports would be worrying.

“The numbers that they’ve put out publicly in these reports, if true, and if they reflect what’s actually, you know, inside the building, I would certainly be concerned about our ability to continue to prosecute this campaign,” let alone engage in future conflicts.

Her willingness to go on record as an administration insider—and the way the host characterized her appearance as a rare moment of candor from the Trump world—underscores how unusual it is for officials to publicly acknowledge military readiness challenges that remain classified at higher levels.

Uncomfortable? … Me, too. The top missiles will take literally years to replenish. Other things will take years to replenish. We’re not quite sitting ducks, but we’re easing down that road, if I’m understanding correctly. We need to be anxious. We need to hope the ceasefire stays put, just because we’re running low. Some of our ships need to return to port soon, because they’ve been out there so long. Will Hegseth and Trump realize this? We can only hope because we don’t know if they actually listen to Caine. Or, do they listen to people who have the reports and the numbers? Or, do they ignore everything and do what they want to anyhow? Let’s hope they listen.

See you soon!

Friends, I know everybody begs you for money. I promise you that of all of the outlets bugging you for spare change, we are the smallest and the hardest working. We’re a bunch of old, disabled people, except one writer in his mid-50s. But the rest of us are in our sixties and seventies, and this is a labor of love. All we’re asking for is the ability to continue our quest to tell the truth about Trump and help ensure democracy survives. If you can help, please do. Thank you. Ursula
