There’s an axiom in the theater that the house doubles in the last ten minutes before curtain time. It looks like the reverse is true in Trump world. The photo you see above shows Trump’s Pennsylvania rally on Saturday at 6:28 p.m. on the left and 6:52 p.m. on the right. Contrast this with Harris/Walz houses which are always packed to the rafters and nobody leaves. Trump world, FYI, has no explanation for this phenomenon. One MAGA angrily retorted when asked, “Well it’s better than lying about rock concerts.” What makes that comical is that the only candidate who has actual rock stars showing up at rallies to give endorsements is Kamala Harris. Unless of course you want to count Kid Rock as a rock star and certainly that’s up to you.

Maybe it’s an echo from the PA system, but Trump sounds like a drunk in that clip. What’s he muttering? Something about the Alien Enemies Act of 1798, it sounds like? Clearly, it’s not a riveting speech or they wouldn’t be headed for the doors. Go through that tape and pause it every few seconds and you’ll see people either headed for or going out of the exits.
Better than passing out the koolaid. Yikes

Harris never said there was going to be a concert …
— Ander  Tierrez (@AnderTierrez) October 26, 2024
You see how MAGA fee fees are hurt? No, Harris did not say that Beyonce would give a concert. Or Springsteen or any of them. And those of us who write about these things simply do not know at a granular level whether an artist will or will not do a song at a rally. Sometimes rallies will end with a performer doing a send off at the very end. Sometimes not. And that’s not the point. The point is that Harris does not have to lie about what celebrities will or will not do in order to pack an arena and the people coming to the Harris/Walz rallies are coming to see the celebrities, in part, yes, that’s human nature. But they’re coming to hear the candidates.
And that’s what Trump and MAGA can’t stand, is that the Democratic candidates are packing the houses and they’ve got so much wattage in star power along with them, not only from music, but from politics, cinema, you name it. Here are a few clips from the rally that just got walked out of and you will not need to ask why.
Trump: She thinks operations are wonderful to transition a man to a woman.. without parental consent pic.twitter.com/Ra5mqjaepw

No, it’s not going to get any more original than this. HAHA!! And you wonder why they’re heading for the exits? But since we’re here, let me share an anecdote about parental consent. The Washington Post recently ran an article about a 13-year-old girl who was in an ER and prepared to give birth — she had been brought there by her great-aunt with whom she was living. The laws of Idaho mandated parental consent, but the girl’s mother was living in a car and couldn’t be reached. The girl’s grandmother, however, was found because she was in jail on drug charges. So she gave consent. Point being, that “parental” and “responsible” are not synonymous. Tragic but true.

Again. I don’t know how many times that *joke* has been told but it’s not getting any better with age, to put it mildly.
Just to be clear: Donald is not talking about used soda cans, he's talking about human beings. You know, like Hitler would have done.

The room was totally still. Trump is mouthing these platitudes without passion and the audience isn’t engaging at all. That’s what I wanted you to see. There is no connection. This is the dead opposite of 2016 when Trump would mainline the vitriol right into MAGA’s veins and they would roar. They would scream approval, they would ripple with approbation. Trump! Trump!
Donald remembers it well and that’s good because the memory is the only place where that lives. Or, stored memories on videos, tweets, documentaries, the things we use for recording life. But the thrill is gone, just like B.B. King sang. The thrill is gone.
The polls tell us it’s a dead heat. When Trump’s got a crowd like this and Harris has a crowd like this.
Vice President Kamala Harris rallied tens of thousands in Houston on Friday night, joining Beyoncé and women directly impacted by the state's abortion bans in a message to voters nationally that "what's happening in Texas is a health care crisis."https://t.co/8i1xZt0MVj pic.twitter.com/DEvehSmygi

I am glad to be a blogger and not a pollster. It is possible to produce a reliable and workmanlike product as a blogger. I haven’t the slightest idea what is going on with the polls. One fact I can give you regarding this rally of Trump’s tonight is that he arrived 90 minutes late and there is a major game later tonight. So that may be why the audience was leaving. But it still doesn’t account for the whacked out polls.

The polls are still 50/50?
Yeah. Right.
I want to paraphrase a famous line here: “The polls asked you to disregard the evidence of your own ears and ears. It was the pollsters’ final, most essential command.” I’m just wondering if pollsters who might show a 12 point lead or some such for Harris might have been told that their legs would be broken if they did.
One of the zitter posters mentions leaving the cult is better than passing out the kool-aid. For who exactly? It’d be VERY good for our country if these fools left one way or another and at this point, kool-aid, slow leaky boat, hell, I don’t give a happy rat’s ass.
What I love about the Harris rally clip is hearing the men’s voices and seeing them chant “We’re not going back”. Let diaper dump have all the incel fanboys – we’ve got the real men.
Again, Harris rallies are where the action is, but this is a neck and neck race, we’re told. I don’t know what to say. But I wasn’t expecting the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times to tuck their tales between their legs and go into silent running mode, either.
Well, there was a story I read on AOL (when I was checking my emails–yes, I still use AOL, get over it!) that said the daughter of the guy who “owns” the LA Times is the one who apparently makes the decisions. In the article, she claims that she recommended her dad block the decision to endorse Harris was because Harris was too “pro-Israel” (in the article, the daughter was described as a “far-left” pro-HAMAS supporter) and wasn’t doing enough for the people of Gaza.
Either I was misreading the story or she said that she was born in South Africa under apartheid (if that was accurate, then she’s older than the age listed in the article; the policy began being dismantled in 1990 and was formally ended in 1991, but the woman was listed as being 34* so any “memories” she’d have of the policy would be minimal, if any–I certainly don’t remember much of my first couple of years of life without being shown home movies of the period) and was using that as context for her dislike of Harris. The article also noted that many people working at the Times are of the opinion that she wields far too much power for someone who’s not even an actual employee of the paper or an executive at the paper. Her father has allegedly refuted her account but that doesn’t really mean much since he hasn’t exactly given a cogent explanation of why he pressured the editorial board to refuse any endorsement.
*Just searched the daughter and found her Wiki page indicates that she was born in 1993 so I may be misremembering the age listed in the news story BUT it still suggests that she couldn’t possibly have any REAL first-hand knowledge of apartheid (her Wiki page lists no place of birth), and looking at her parents’ Wiki pages, it doesn’t look like she could’ve possibly had any knowledge of life in South Africa (under apartheid or not) since her father has been living in the US pretty much since the mid-1980s and her mother was a minor actress (her last major film credit is the final episode of the original “MacGyver” which aired in 1992; her biggest part was in a Canadian TV drama called “Danger Bay”) who was also born in South Africa but has been living in the US with her husband pretty much since the 1980s.
Do people actually think that orange face will NOT hand over Gaza and anywhere else Israel wants? Where have they been the last 8 years? Bibi and Bean Brain are buds.
Thank you for the info!
Squid Crock is NOT any kind of star, just an idiot who can’t sing! Polls like statistics can be easily manipulated to give the results the pollster wants. Look at VP Hariss’ rallies vs the Orange Shitstain’s!
