There’s a lot of truth out there in the world that is under reported or frankly goes unreported. The reason that political blogs exist at all is because we highlight stories that maybe aren’t getting as much play as they should, or more commonly, we illuminate angles of and details from stories that are in the mainstream media, but that they’re simply not paying attention to. And why is that? If you ask them, they will tell you that it’s because these details aren’t that important. If you dig a little deeper, you will find out that what’s *important* or not depends upon whose agenda it advances. A short while ago I got an email from one our our fellow Zoomers, Chris Whitley, and he wanted me to see this Meidas Touch video. The entire video is worth watching but just look at the CEOs of networks that are Donald Trump donors, that plays at the very beginning of the video. Pay close attention to that. Then you will understand what the furor is to get Joe Biden out of the way and what we’re up against. Please take sixteen minutes and watch this entire thing. It’s the most illuminating thing you can do for yourself all day.
You’re getting the big picture here. This is where it emanates. It all starts in the C-Suites of major media conglomerates and before soon, yes, the message going out over the airwaves is, “Biden is old and he stutters and so let’s elect the fascist.” That is exactly what happens.
And now here is where it gets destructive to the point of being mind blowing. Look at who has fallen for this bullshit. None other than Rob Reiner, who you would believe has enough sense to see through all this. No. He does not. So there is a minor insurrection taking place on Twitter/X right now.

I don’t know why Rob Reiner thinks that Joe stepping down would be anything but chaos. I don’t know why anybody is thinking that. That’s the part that I can’t follow. If we were having this conversation a year ago and the topic was Joe running again or not running and people were seriously saying, “okay, let’s pass the torch,” then this would make more sense. But now? Less than four months from Election Day? This is utter destruction. Utter ridiculousness.
I hope Rob Reiner comes to his senses. We really do need a united Democratic party.

I don’t know either, but it does sort of look like some people have not developed the intellectual habit of prudence, or if they ever had it, have lost the ability to think more than one step ahead. A dumbing down, possibly through fear, possibly through atrophy from lack of exercise.
Politics is more than image and performance art, political thinking is not just theater criticism, maybe Hollywood types don’t get this. But actually American politics and journalism have been stuck in this mode for quite some time. I guess Trump is great TV, right? But we can no longer afford this superficial bullshit, the stakes are too high. And I think most Democratic voters and many anti-Trump Republicans and independents do get this.
All of this “Biden is too old” is just another made up chaos causing BS. LDS Prophet Russell Nelson will be 100 years old on September 9 2024. The Dalai Lama the revered leader of the Tibetan Buddhism is 89. Pope Francis is 87 years old. They are all honored, loved, and supported by their followers. What’s wrong with us if we throw this wise, gentle, and great leader of ours away for that sick, cheating, lying piece of sh.t!! We must vote Blue!!

It’s really bad form for Reiner to be falling for this because “Meathead” is himself 77 years old–that’s just, what, currently 4 years younger than President Biden?

Reporters don’t have anywhere near control of what they write and get published. Publishers and owners, often one and the same, do. And if they need the job because they prefer eating and being homeless, they do what they are told. Sad but true.
